The only reason to separate a young child from their parent rather than waiting until another trusted adult is available is if that parent poses an *immediate* risk to the health and safety of others or if they are having a medical emergency. Period.

One day we might have to actually tackle the giant problem with police we have in our nation and it feels like Abolishing ICE is a great first step into that conversation.
From my hometown of Forest Lake: "Ice is working with Forest Lake police. Police are asking apartment complexes for access to buildings for 'possible medical emergencies' shortly after they requested that ice was in my building knocking on doors."
