Lower Treasury rates are generally better for the economy, but (1) this is a confession they have no "affordability" plan at all, and (2) they haven't made much progress on rates anyway, 10-year still >4%.

Republicans' real "affordability" plan is to blow up the data agencies then lie about it.

Grijalva just signed the Epstein discharge petition.

It now has the 218 signatures necessary to start the clock that will, in a few weeks, trigger floor votes on the underlying bill to require release of the full Epstein files.

Two answers:

1) Fear. A lawless FDA (and/or CMS) can nuke them.

2) MAHA targets low-margin products, like vaccines and generics. Trump admin is otherwise helping them make money on blockbuster drugs, eg skipping Medicare negotiation for GLP-1s.
Trump’s drug pricing push sidelines Medicare negotiation program
Lower prices for 15 drugs, including Ozempic and Wegovy, are expected to be announced by the end of the month. The price negotiation program was created under Biden.

One reason you hold a meeting to pressure/cajole/threaten Boebert in the Situation Room is so she can't record it.

By "competition" he doesn't mean insurance companies competing for your business. He means people who need insurance competing for policies that won't bankrupt them.

It's the age-old drug dealer "first one's free" gambit. It should be illegal to dump your product on the market below cost for the express purpose of getting everyone dependent on using it just so you can jack prices later and customers are trapped.
The real question is "Is an AI agent actually less expensive than the worker it's replacing" if the costs are fully counted?
