Moon landing denier, ChatGPT student, reality star, and so-far failed lawyer Kim Kardashian believed psychics who told her she'd succeed.

This really is America 2025 in a nutshell.

I mean, its five years after I wrote the damn thing but seeing the proofs for an academic book review I wrote was kind of dope.

I got whole catagories of things I need to get together but that was cool.

Again, the chief executive of our country mocking saying "The Constitution says this...that" should be an impeachable misdemeanor. He is mocking the basic of our republic. It should not be this hard.
Trump on Ilhan Omar: "I look at somebody who comes from Somalia...and she comes in and tells us how to run our country. 'The Constitution says this, the Constitution says that.' The whole thing is crazy."

This franchise has gone in a wierd direction after 23 years.
"news of her bar exam results comes just days after [she] admitted in an interview that she used ChatGPT to help her study. In fact, [she] revealed that she'd express her frustration with [chatgpt] after giving her the wrong answers."

Glad we're forcing this into uni

It took me a bit to catch up on story but imagine if William Randolph Hearst published a full page add that went "Mr. Hearst reads good. We promise."

This is what the publicly documented richest man on the planet is doing right now

Ro Khanna is running for President.
Rep. Ro Khanna (D-Calif.) is calling on Senate Democrats to replace Sen. Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.) as leader after eight members of the Senate Democratic caucus voted Sunday to begin the process of reopening the federal government.

Rescind their committee assignments, replace them immediately, and start a conversation within the party machine for supporting a primary challenger. None of those seven should be releected and a Democrat should attempt to unseat Angus King.

"I couldn't vote for someone..." isn't a moral high ground when the DOGE cuts under Trump have already killed hundreds of thousands.

You didn't vote against a genocide. You allowed the Horseman of Famine to take over the global superpower.
You had two choices. To abstain in the face of genocide is literally worse than the lesser of two evils.

Your decision aided the literal pro-genocide candidate to win. You have no moral high ground. More kids are dead worldwide because of this.

Look I say "randos" because I grew up in online gamer culture on consoles in the 2000s, the House Minority leader should use actual words.
Jeffries: “Nobody who's serious in this country takes Dr. Oz seriously…I'm not going to respond to any comments from randos like Dr. Oz, who is woefully unqualified to be in whatever position he holds in the administration. He's a joke. These people are all jokes.”

If only this could have been avoided by people actually voting for the person who was for good things and against bad things...
Donald Trump is Joe Biden now

POTUS's job approval on prices is where Biden's was during peak inflation in 2022-23. Voters say 2:1 that Trump has made the economy worse. Oh, and consumer sentiment among independents hit a new all-time low in November, www.gelliottmorris.com/p/donald-tru...

Air traffic controllers aren't being paid and this admin has openly mused about not paying federal workers backpay iirc.

The threat to docking pay is literally hollow and pointless then.

Donald Trump is thrashing underwater and Democrats threw him a life preserver.

They are already not being paid, you dotard!

"Independent voter".

I am not sure jumping in the most bandwagon antisemitic approach to this involves much free thinking.

We could be celebrating another definitive victory for American civil rights today. One won by the same political party that won victories earlier this week.

Instead we are inspecting the complications of the back wounds inflicted by seven Democrats and one Independent in defense of Donald Trump.

Every Democrat should face a primary across the board. They should defend and earn their offices - every time.

If the party is literally this broken that it can't stop seven of its members and a caucusing independent from breaking a fundamental party position, it needs to be flushed out entirely.
Since the Democrats worked extra hard to hide who actually supported this, I think the No Kings/Resistance position should be to primary every Democrat unless they publicly call for Schumer's ouster this week

Either they go into total rebellion mode, which they won't, or the people will

Schumer can be removed from his Dem leadership role this week - 23 Dems (and/or independents) just have to vote to depose him

And they should, given this is his fault.
This is a lovely sentiment but Schumer isn't up for re-election until 2028 and he knows this. At which point he will be 77/78. There's no mechanism to recall a sitting senator AFAIK.
Let’s be clear: Chuck Schumer is the one ending this shutdown, no matter how the votes read.

Chuck Schumer is claiming that he’s voting no, while letting other Senators (Fetterman, Kaine, King, etc) do HIS dirty work.

He must be removed from his leadership & primaried for the sake of this country
