I don't mean to be divisive but to call it a computer's "natural scrolling"--which mimics the despicable Phone--and then to make it default? An outrage. Swiping down should scroll down, as was true since the dawn of time on the noble mouse scroll wheel

I think it’s reasonable to say that brands that make a fake “top x” listacle and put their product at the top should be drone striked.

The problem with every post-Millennial generation is they got to go straight to high speed internet. Of course you'll get computer madness that way. Make them start with those old screeching modems and work their way up

Well this is bad. Google is indexing ChatGPT conversations exposing sensitive user data

I tried a few quick searches. I found someone's chat where I can see their api key

I found some building their resume. Their name, email and phone numbers are exposed.

All the dire implications notwithstanding it is hilarious how evil this technology is. Billions of dollars spent on this greasy lying stupid thing that was literally built to replace people, and everyone that uses it gets weaker, lazier, dumber, and sadder for having done so. Well done all around.
“On Tuesday afternoon, ChatGPT encouraged me to cut my wrists.” @lilashroff.bsky.social reports on how the chatbot was easily prompted to offer instructions for murder, self-mutilation, and devil worship: https://theatln.tc/Up7Ycoli

I made this Pride flag using only NASA images and our team thought it would be cool to share on social (I work on the NASA heliophysics communications team), but it's getting all sorts of hate on the bird app and Fbook. Thought y'all might be more appreciative of it here. ☺️🏳️‍🌈💖

i miss the early internet. people were like “you gotta see this dude. this cat sure is long.” and they were right. it was really long. it never shoulda gotten any more complicated than that.

Stop using AI.

Yes, even just for fun.

AI is built on STOLEN images and text.

That’s right: by using it, you’re stealing from your friends. There is NOT ethical generative AI.

Bonus bullshit: it is HORRENOUS for the environment.

(Yes, even the cutesy profile photo cartoon things.)

Please stop using the planet destroying slop machine that is generative AI.

No, it's not okay to use it for leftist or progressive causes. You don't stand with the working class or marginalized people by stealing their art without compensation.
