My Sunday morning, a very good boy let me sleep in and I saw a cardinal from my (dirty) kitchen window.

A timeliness cleanse. I think the snow earlier this year shocked the fig tree and I was worried we wouldn't get any fruit this year. Normally it is popping off by now, but dad spotted two ripe beauties today. Life found a way.

Happy Dad's Day. Mine is pretty great.

Me imagining the president's sycophants explaining today's protests to him:

It should not be lost on anyone that Minnesota Rep Melissa Hortman, who was shot to death in her home last night by an assassin, was a gun safety advocate who worked tirelessly to protect her constituents from gun violence.

Stay extra aware in Louisiana - where cars are protected in mowing over protestors in the road.
Now that everyone knows what happened in Minnesota, and as everyone heads out to protests with that nagging little fear eating at your enthusiasm, remember:
That hesitancy and doubt is brought to you courtesy of DJT and MAGA.

Not taking anything away from Senator Padilla because he was treated atrociously

But I JUST want to remind everyone that the Congresswoman LaMonica McIver, a Black woman, was just indicted for just asking questions at an ICE detention center in her state

Keep that same energy of support for her

I got home from work and thought I'd take a nap and then work some more, but instead I stared at my phone for a few hours. Then I thought I'd go to bed early (9pm). Here I am, watching two hockey teams I don't care about in overtime. Classic move, Camille.

The woman from the Crescent Soil and Water Conservation District was a delight to talk to. She's trying her best to hold this election on Saturday. Between the board and her efforts to preserve the wetlands, she's spent her life improving the environment.

Haha I love working from home and the wifi dips in and out after a gentle rumble of thunder. Very cool that it takes forever to boot back up.
