"my least woke opinion is---"

That's enough. We've had enough people indulging in the "thrill of a little conservatism", as a treat. Of considering reactionary thought to be a salacious and taboo in a world descending into reactionary mania.

Give me your MOST woke opinions. We're bringing it back.

Job is working on an agreement that is such fucking bad idea jeans, I hate it so much, but it's ♾️ levels above me to be like, "we need to cut bait on this a month ago but sure let's keep spending $100k in staff for each meeting as we explore this instead." Caveat emptor, mfers. You're not caveating.

Man did we fuck up by creating quasi public forums in social media. You aren't entitled to spew nonsense on the internet, there are consequences, no matter what your political leanings. AND we should be able to chill & know "fuck this asshole" is not the same as "I am going to kill this asshole."

It's not even a woke opinion so much as it's fact that we'd be so much better off financially if we stopped means testing everything and just gave people what they needed & allowed for the .00001% of program abuse that happens, instead of paying way too much money to attempt to stop that .00001%.

I read, out loud, to my bf tonight a spec script scene I wrote in undergrad for...I die...Dawson's Creek. It is cringe in the way only your writing from your 20s can be. But it was also bizarre to see the date & have it be 29 days after 9/11 & I'm just writing dumb shit for a silly class. Life!

And we knew this. This wasn't speculation. We studied it, we had the talking points. We trained volunteers to explain this to people. It's not a surprise. Rich people don't flee places with good quality of life when we increase the quality of life. They might try to cheat us, but they don't leave.
NEW: The first two years of Massachusetts' millionaire tax has raised $3 billion more than expected.

And rather than driving the rich away, IPS researchers found that the number of millionaires has *increased.*

guess I'm built different, every time I'm out trying to see night sky stuff I frequently think about how much light pollution is entirely preventable with just a tiny bit of regulation

Yes, yes permission from administration, just as Aristotle & Socrates imagined when they were setting up the first academies to have open discussion. Which, like, is kinda the point of learning? To explore ideas? Not approved by administrators?

But I have a law degree so wtfdik about learning?

If he liked barely legal, there's a way to get that without it being actually illegal and not exploitative. He didn't want consenting, mutual relationships. He wanted power and to abuse children. Let's be crystal clear about that. Deliberate choices were made.

I attended a meeting yesterday and it reminded me that every single organizer needs to get training on how to facilitate meetings. Truly. You lose more people through terrible meeting facilitation than I can express.

Nine NFL players under 48 have died this year. NINE. And twenty under the age of 65. I'm looking into it for a longer article. But I'm taking to bluesky to say that I cannot believe - or maybe its just too easy to believe - that in our NFL obsessed sports media culture, this is not a bigger story.
