Like ninety percent of discourse on this website is feeling helpless and wanting to punch somebody and being unable to drive to DC and punch the orange fuck in the balls yourself so you punch the person next to you instead.
people aren't even saying "this is unamerican" that much but when they do say it I think they usually mean that it's against the american ideals they believe in. but the important thing here is to throw a wet blanket on people risking their lives to disrupt ICE goons in the streets.
I fear my tipping point into madness is "Thus is un-American" posts in response to ICE terrorizing immigrants. I beg you to open Wikipedia (I would say a book but let's start small) and read up on The Trail of Tears, Fugitive Slave Catchers, Japanese internment, Indian Boarding schools & Jim Crow

In case you want to know what a bs job policing is, I was talking to my retired cop dad the other day & there is so little responsibility in being a cop he couldn't FATHOM checking email & doing some work on a Sunday so you could make your Monday less anxious and I HAD TO EXPLAIN IT TO HIM.
It's a real good grift they've got going on, municipalities keep throwing money at them and they have no responsibilities.
Periodic reminder that cops have no legal requirement to help you -- even if you're a child getting gunned down at school
