Welp. The British legal system is going so far as to hold one of the most prominent members of their beloved British Royal Family accountable for his actions with Epstein

Meanwhile, in the United States…. 😒
Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, the brother of the UK’s King Charles, has been arrested on suspicion of misconduct in public office. It comes after further details of his relationship with convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein emerged, the BBC said.

I thought that was a me thing. 😆

But accurate, that dude who played young Prince Charles in The Crown?

He’s been in a whole bunch of movies since then, with Zendaya in the tennis movie even.

But he’s young Prince Charles to me

See also why I never could get with democratic socialists like Bernie Sanders.

On the other hand I like Zohran Mamdani and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez cause they do ….annnd in addition to race can fluently speak about gender as a structure of domination and how they work together
If your Marxist critique doesn’t recognize race as a structure of domination, then it’s worth fuck all to me.

Shirley Chisholm showed what was possible when she became the first Black person and woman to seek the Democratic nomination for President

and Jesse Jackson built out a foundation she had laid a decade later

You don’t get to Barack Obama or Kamala Harris without these two
February 17, 2026 at 2:35 PM
Jesse Jackson also used his organizing skills to build Black political power w/his Presidential campaigns:

registering Black voters making them the base of the Dem Party

training the next gen of Black politicos (eg, Donna Brazile)

Rest easy now sir

Jesse Jackson, civil rights leader, dies aged 84
A trailblazing figure in the civil rights movement and Democratic politics, Jackson championed the rights of Black, poor and working-class people with his ‘rainbow coalition’

We’re really arriving at that time where so many acting greats are leaving us.

Someone has sure already made this observation but the fact they can convert all those empty warehouses into prison camps means they could have converted them into housing, community centers, job training centers or, hell, libraries or schools all along. It’s always a matter of will not resources.

Virginia Dems to the GOP on partisan gerrymandering 🙃
February 14, 2026 at 10:42 PM
Yeah and I suspect most of those folks at the moment who could do that… are being kept from leadership in the House and Senate Dems Caucus….
To hell with a Joe Rogan for the left. Can I have a Mitch McConnell for Democrats, please? Imagine having someone who would go as hard in the paint for civil rights as McConnell did for antiblackness.

Thank you! And yes, there is so much history it’s not possible to fit it all in.

If you are looking at 18th century, you should check out Dr. Martha Jones’ Vanguard, if you havent,

Somebody said on here that was Jasmine Crockett to the right….🧐

No,THE F&&K it isn’t

And WHY is Platner centered & noticeably pushed to the foreground of art while

Mamdani, who won his election, (while not ever having Nazi tattoo or recently written racist/sexist things on the internet) is NOT
A base that has long made pragmatic, sober decisions appears increasingly attracted to charismatic outsiders who promise to break from the party’s failures of the last decade. They see their party’s leaders as feckless and inept.

It’s the Democratic Tea Party, with a twist. trib.al/mC5cBDA

Oh… Yeah that’s still understandable how that happened there, even moreso

Yes which is why is also said “shaping your child’s perception of what is right and wrong”

Selling your soul for the right price is definitely falls into that category.

Teaching someone a set of political values isn’t enough, but also just basic decency of what you will not do
February 12, 2026 at 4:16 AM
Anywho, if you’re a white progressive person raising white (or even white presenting) children, y’all gotta be real hands on in shaping your children’s perception of right and wrong, keeping them from becoming radicalized,

If we ever gonna get out of this, how you raise them is critical.

Her profile grew because she was good on TV radio etc. the mediums the right wing values.

She kept at it for her career even though she was pissing (and hurting) her friends mostly liberal, many gay..

Made me think of that saying, if you don’t stand for something you’ll fall for anything

There have been some thoughtful profiles on high ranking Trump officials that I’ve read

There was one on Pam Bondi

Did u know her father, with whom she was close, was a die hard FDR Democrat and elected official?

Apparently she was registered as a Democrat before her political career, clearly 👀
Bondi: "The news is reporting that cartel drones are being shot down by our military. That's what we all should care about right now: protecting America."

This is absolutely amazing discovery and just in time for Black History Month.

A reminder the lengths people would go for freedom and what some good people will do to help.

My husband’s family is Texan and when his parents travelled to Europe when that TV show Dallas was on in the 1980s, folks offered to buy their hats is boots right off them 😂
