Daines opposes extending the ACA credits, which will impact 58,000 Montanans, because he says it will cost $350 billion. But he happily voted to extend the doubled estate tax exemption, which will benefit fewer than 1000 Montanans - including himself - at a cost of $211 billion.
Q: Are you in favor of extending the ACA subsidies?

GOP Senator: I'm not. It is not a good idea to extend it. We don't deny the fact there are increases coming in health care costs and insurance premiums.
