This is the best political campaign of my lifetime. I don’t want to hear about Obama or anyone else. This is how you do it! This has to be the model!
This @zohrankmamdani.bsky.social video is absolutely INCREDIBLE. The numbers he cites, the strategy and results they produced — it’s the future. When have you heard *any* campaign talk about this, ever? (Video split in 2 to fit in Bluesky’s limits)

“I’m not going to claim CEOs are that special. It’s just somebody has to tell others . . . ‘This is where we’re going.’ And AI is not particularly good at that yet.”

AI can do everyone else’s job, but CEOs are just too important to automate. How convenient!

I'd rather have suicidal empathy than no heart at all. While the cruelty is the point for these ghouls, I still firmly believe there are more good people in the world than evil. I'm grateful to @charlieangus104.bsky.social for bringing light into these dark times & defending #ChildRights
In Trump's America cruelty is the point. And nothing is more cruel than the abuse of children.
In US courts migrant children as young as 4 are being put on trial without legal representation and subject to arbitrary deportation.

In general we need to internalize the fact that bad faith actors never “have a point” because having a point isn’t the point.
We do not have to take Trump’s bait on DEI, because they do not care about some policies being “problematic.” They are disengenously using DEI to target civil rights protections, DEI is a prextext, and it is not reasonable to concede they have a point when it only helps their reactionary push.
If we're being honest, the Trump rollbacks are often illiberal and authoritarian, but lots of DEI has been problematic, too.

There’s nothing better than some Elections 101 on an Easter morning right? Right?!

In all seriousness, I hopped onto @cbcradiocanada.bsky.social’s show Just Asking to talk about our electoral system. Check it out, and go vote!

The Debates Commission is a disaster. #debate2025
Seeing multiple reporters posting that the post-debate media scrums are cancelled???

You mean to tell me the commission is so scared of having to have a backbone against grifters that they’d rather deprive us ALL of the question period than actually tell the cosplayers “you guys have to go”???

I think it’s just a tipping point thing. When you have your first exposure to, say, 50 horrifying stories about cops and prisons, you think the system can be fixed. 500? You’re thinking it has to be seriously downsized. By the time you read about horror #50,000? Burn it down.
all it took for me to become a prison abolitionist was a few years of reading simple factual accounts of what happens in jails and prisons
I submit that rather than having to write opinions about prisoners trapped in hot showers as a punishment, we stop treating people like this.
