It’s cool that Chuck Schumer, Kiersten Gillibrand, and Hakeem Jeffries just proved to every future dem that establishment approval is irrelevant tbh
Q: It's election day in NYC. Did you vote for Mamdani or Cuomo?

Schumer: "Look, I voted, and I look forward to working with the next mayor to help NYC."

As a NYer, ”real” “small town” America now looks like a sexual freak zoo run by genital-obsessive xenophobes who make women into living dolls and shoot each other. Mamdani’s NYC (and mine) is a safe, wholesome place where neighbors help each other, do scavenger hunts, ride bikes, and birdwatch.

Hello friends. It is such a lovely night here in NYC. 🌃 76 degrees, a light breeze, and not humid. We have the windows open and I can hear crickets chirping in the bushes below- one of my favorite late summer things. 🦗That sound just makes me happy, and more so here in the city. ✨😊

HHS Toll-Free: 1-877-696-6775

HHS Direct Line: 202-690-7000

PLEASE share and consider calling your senators and representatives as well.

NONE of this is okay.

RFK Jr. backs down all the time when he gets push back, so if anyone wants to call, here's the HHS number 1-877-696-6775.
I'd also call your senators/reps as well.

This story should not have been published. They hint at an accusation (Mamdani said he is black to get into a fancy college) they can't back up. That this was published tells me that Mamdani's most important opponent may not be Cuomo or Adams but a paper whose NEWS section will run stuff like this.
You know, when I heard that all of our personal data had been hacked, I didn't expect the first major use of it to be the NYT trying to fuck over Zohran but maybe I'm naive www.nytimes.com/2025/07/03/n...

A very simple thing you can do is stop linking to the NYT.

I know they do some good reporting but they are also actively upholding facism and working to subvert democracy and shaping your world view.

It is more work but it is better if we start starving harmful institutions.

this is going around again, and having just read the CECOT reports from the KAG case and I’m compelled to say again:

this administration is run by genocidal white supremacists and I am done donating or volunteering for democrats who don’t understand that
I will work 100 hours a week for whoever is gonna run the Nuremberg trials against these fucking monsters
democrats are really going to convince themselves that “a return to normalcy” is what people want when its really “rebuild, investigate, imprison”

the Senate's small-state ultra-bias is never more maddening than when one senator uses it to get benefits for her 740,000 constituents while openly acknowledging the bill she's supporting will harm the nation's 339 million other residents.

"Alligator Alcatraz" is wrong and media should not use it. It's propaganda. Alcatraz held people convicted of crimes, particularly violent crimes.

The Florida camp holds people *not* convicted of any crime. If they had been, they'd be in prison elsewhere.

The site is a textbook concentration camp.
I know the media is going to unthinkingly start using “Alligator Alcatraz,” but it’s disgusting and sadistic and I intend to call it what it is, a fucking concentration camp, and fuck those people who are doing this and giving it a cutesy name.

There are some useful ideas in here for obstructing or at least delaying passage of reconciliation bill in the House.

Every day of delay drags the GOP's poll numbers down further, because people hate this bill when they learn about it.
Here's @brianbeutler.bsky.social explaining the many House rules that could be used to slow this bill.

But Jeffries needs to be on board. More than that — Jeffries needs to be actively pushing the House members to use this playbook. So far, he's been doing the opposite.

really does feel like if we can cyberbully the House into passing changes on the shit they openly hate and get it kicked back upstairs again there’s a chance it might not survive the Senate a second time

if you live in a GOP state it’s time to ruin a House rep’s life
The package now goes to the House who is expected to vote on it this week. Any changes to the bill in the House will force the Senate to take up the bill again.

The current bill as written raises the debt limit by $5 trillion.
