But that's pretty obviously not what they were doing when they searched the Post reporter's house. They arrested a suspect days ago, after more or less catching him in the act.

Fact check: Sure Ofcom can issue its own fines, but it has no power of its own to ban any platform from the UK. It can apply to court for a blocking order, but it would have to convince the court that all the conditions set out in the Act are satisfied and that it is proportionate to make the order.
