A new Uzbek restaurant opened nearby and this (Plov with halloumi instead of meat) is one of the most delicious meals I’ve had in a long time. No wonder the place was rammed.

Ok this has been going on for weeks now - Google claims that its own YouTube for TV app on my Sony TV breaks Google’s security policies. Does anyone have any idea how to fix this?

Co-bought this on cassette with my best friend at the old CNA in Rondebosch, Cape Town. I already owned two cassettes but those were presents - Pet Shop Boys' Discography (formative, wore it out) and the Cats cast recording (formative in the sense that it gave me a lifelong loathing of musicals)

Sometimes Berlin is just so Berlin. Last night I was walking with a friend in Prenzlauer Berg when we passed a small gallery. A dapper gent was outside, and my friend asked what was happening inside. Turned out the guy was the violinist in this band. He invited us in for the second half of their set

Had a Bigsby B5 and Vibramate that I wasn’t using, so I put them onto my goldtop Les Paul. The installation doesn’t sit flush on the carved top, of course, and it makes the instrument rather heavy, but it sounds and feels great - and it doesn’t look bad either.

The discrepancy in "must-have qualifications" is particularly interesting. The liberal expert must have "comfort engaging with complex political content" while the conservative expert must have "comfort with ideologically diverse material."

Very interesting job ad, for a Peter Thiel-backed company, that involves trying to make sure AI models serve liberal users with liberal perspectives (and yes, there is an equivalent ad for a "conservative politics expert") www.linkedin.com/jobs/search/...
