I really think the US could split up. That will be the end result of Project 2025 and the alliance of Christian extremists, techno authoritarians, and billionaires.

This would work better if cities & towns adopted sustainable mobility = trams, e-buses, bikes. Cutting air (and noise) pollution is essential for safe farming.

Italy’s UNESCO-designated Po Delta saved from offshore gas drilling
Offshoring drilling threatened to submerge parts of the delta, which is already bracing against a barrage of problematic, climate change-induced conditions.

Funny how right-wingers hate welfare but refuse to do anything to make work pay. 🤔 Indeed they think it’s efficient & smart the mass firing of people, the imposition of low wages, and company asset-stripping.
Buried in the Big Beautiful Bill were changes to food assistance that demanded “any future change be cost-neutral. Translation: no more benefit increases, even if food prices skyrocket.”
The result was “institutionalized hunger.”

In Italy right now watching the political tv programme Omnibus on LA7. A bunch of wealthy journos commenting on Mandani without any data, let alone analysis. Easy judgements on populism and fantasist policies without bothering to justify their judgement. Bad media damage democracy.

Note to self: don’t read comments on any news involving cycling and don’t comment! 🤦 I despair at drivers’ mentality but also at the car normativity many cyclists share. 😭 Cars need to be the exception not the rule. They pollute, occupy a disproportionate amount of public space, and motorists kill.

Train drivers and other railway staff deserve a good salary for what they do every day but this example shows that they also go the extra mile and that good training is essential. The pen-pushers in the right wing media need to shut up and be ashamed.
