The British establishment has firmly believed in the special relationship with the US which was nothing but colonisation of Britain. For decades, the elite has indoctrinated the people in exceptionalism keeping Britain from appreciating its European identity. Starmer is only wasting time.

This book doesn’t flatter anyone-it’s worth reading. What struck me is this: nobody here is really in charge, and that’s the trick. These ‘rulers’ don’t rule by courage or conviction, but by incentives and attention. They don’t demand loyalty; they reward performance. And people line up willingly.
