And yet the solution is not difficult or expensive. Prioritising public transport and active travel reduces deaths and injuries saving lives and money, it reduces air pollution saving lives and preventing disabilities. All we need is for leaders who engage the public effectively.

Can @cardiffcouncil.bsky.social have the award for worst cycle lanes? Cyclists are asked to cross diagonally 🤦 This is just one example of it. They could have built a straight cycle path but nobody in Highways cycles. @cardiffcyclecity.bsky.social

I participated in the social pedaleda, cycling from Cesena to Cesenatico. The respective councils want to promote cycling over car reliance. Great though it’s about 20km each way so I doubt many can do it without also taking the train. It’s nice and easy. Very hot today. Lovely market at arrival.
