This is really an excuse to repeat a pet factoid from the BBC: 'The Lindisfarne Gospels weighs 8.7kg or as much as an adult badger'.
I have my criticisms of the BBC, I'm right behind the drive to ditch Imperial and metric in favour of adult badgers as units of weight measurement.

Everything coming out of big tech in the last decade's been pure hype: virtual reality, blockchain, and now AI. All the stuff that was good, from social media to office suites, have suffered enshitification. Has any other industry got things wrong so much, for so long?

You can’t just say AI tutors are going to teach disadvantaged kids. You might as well say inflatable dentists will solve the NHS backlog.
The casual anthropomorphising of AI has got to stop. They’re not ‘tutors’, it’s software. It’s not ‘one-to-one’, it’s a kid on a screen on their own.

It’s really interesting that the govt has only lost 10% approval in the last 15 months despite having to take tough decisions to fix the Tory’s 16 years of devastation. That initial collapse to 60% disapprove in the first two months of the govt says more about voters’ unreal expectations.
