I genuinely need to know why not a single one of these companies is pushing back by stating that their DEI hires still have to be qualified. They are still hired by merit. Why are we just pretending that rhetoric is true? Oh wait, they didn’t want to be inclusive to begin with.

There is a great book written in 1969 by a sociologist who warns hippies & other revolutionaries that if they wanted to remake American society, they had to be aware of how getting married & having kids would socialize them.
He explained that it is the main way America keeps people in line.

Plus people that are desperate to keep their kids fed, housed, and clothed will tolerate a lot of shit that single/childfree folks would immediately nope out of.
