Lindsey Halligan has a broadcast journalism degree from Regis University in Denver. I am confident they covered how "off the record" works.
EXCLUSIVE: One Saturday afternoon in October, my phone lit up with a notification.
I glanced down at the message.
“Anna, Lindsey Halligan here,” it began.
So began my text exchange with the woman who is prosecuting the president's perceived political enemies.

Part of the problem with hiring every divorced asshole who wants to hold a gun is that 95% of those guys are the biggest lamest cowards in the world who wouldn’t bust a grape in a fruit fight.

OK. It's going to be coming out soon because of the relentless investigations of Pam Bondi and Kash Patel, so I might as well admit it before the news breaks:

WTF, NPR? Is this some kind of sick joke?
As President Trump ramps up efforts to send federal officers and troops into cities, criminologists are watching closely. Are the feds doing this in a smart way?

My mom called me last night about the Kimmel firing, saying "This is how Hitler got started!" I quickly responded, "By firing the late night tv hosts?"
Turns out, mom was right.

I just cancelled a fairly moribund Hulu account. One of the most satisfying things I’ve done today. And they let me provide a reason! “You don’t seem to understand the importance of the first amendment, you cowards.”

SCOTUS is the one institution insulated from Trump's retribution because of their lifetime appointments. If they wanted to contain Trump, they would have. They don't want to and mostly agree with everything Trump has done. They are politicians in robes.

1/Trump’s Secretary of Defense, Pete Hegseth, seems interested in making women 2nd class citizens. A tweet he posted late last week isn’t getting nearly enough attention. In any other administration, there would have been swift calls for his resignation. Here, mostly crickets.

Completely deranged and completely unsurprising. Perhaps the only surprising thing is that he announced it, rather than just doing it quietly, as it's quite possible it could go unreported.
And we're officially at the end of being able to trust the jobs numbers in this country ever again.

Yup. As I’ve said before, the right’s constant sense of grievance even as they control every branch of government stems from the fact that the base doesn’t really want specific policy reforms. They’re angry about cultural trends the government can’t really do anything about in a free society.
This is a great example of how conservative grievances are with society overall rather than government. It’s not even like a teacher told her; another student did! The only way around it is to police society so much that no child anywhere could learn about lesbians from anywhere and tell their kid.
This entire story is just so batshit insane
“my kid learned about lesbians so now I’m gonna go and commit war crimes”

This is a meaningless distinction. “Arrest” is from the French “arrêter,” to stop. If they can detain you for however long it takes a cop to show up, that is already functionally an arrest.

You should be in front of every television camera right now reminding the CA National Guard of their oath, which is to preserve and protect the Constitution. Very basic things need to be said.
So far, what I’ve seen is pure political cowardice.
