DHS has shot 12 people during immigration enforcement operations since September:

THIS IS THE WAY
Minneapolis should press its momentum and demand not only withdrawal but start talking about the need for immediate reparations, loudly, with the total certainty that only winners have. "You have wronged us terribly and must pay recompense" and let them argue the second part.

On boycotting World Cup: this not a classic boycott call in that there is not a specific aim. It is a safety issue. DHS provides security for WC events in the U.S. It's not crazy to assume that this WC will precipitate kidnappings, injuries, & murder. Dangerous for fans, team staff & players.

"ICE has definitely gone too far but we still n-" no we don't. Whatever the purist version of what you think their job is supposed to be is, we don't need them for that. We can just get rid of all of it and put that money towards some, anything else.

Hochul: The whole crew has to go. It’s a joke, so they should clean house, kick their asses out of town, say “we’re starting over,” and stop militarizing our streets with people who have literally days or weeks of training

Open letter to our Senators:

Gentlemen, Ladies, we don't really care about ICE not getting even more funding. We don't care about more "training" and more rules they won't follow.

We want ICE de-funded. Dismantled. Gone. Driven out of our cities.

ICE’s tactics have been terrifying and tragic, but Minneapolis is responding in incredible ways. Residents are organizing, feeding and housing their neighbors, and putting real social infrastructure in place. What’s taking shape isn’t just a reaction, it’s a blueprint for resistance.

Remember: Telling lies that everyone knows are lies is a classic tactic of dictators to force their followers to side with them over the truth itself…

But the public will not be gaslit.

We will continue to spread the truth…

Christian women-influencers tell their followers that empathy for dead citizens and kidnapped 5-year olds is bad.

Jesus said, "Whatever you do for the least of these, you do to me."

These women do not represent - in any conceivable way - Jesus.
Conservative figures such as Riley Gaines and Allie Beth Stuckey are urging their followers to ward off empathy for victims of ICE’s crackdown

Also, good luck getting that bullshit through in the blue states.

AIN’T HAPPENING
The group “is currently working with representatives in nearly a dozen states, two people in the coalition told STAT, & aims to get bills that would roll back or eliminate vaccine requirements in every statehouse in the country… Public health officials & advocates warn that that would be a disaster”
With new vaccine schedule secured, RFK Jr. allies head to statehouses
The overhaul of the federal vaccine schedule sent shockwaves through American health care. Now battles over vaccine laws are moving to statehouses across the country.

Pretty sure he's talking about the kids of immigrants which is presented as a "choice" to take your kids (sometimes babies) with you or leave them behind.

Not that this isn't inadequate in any case.
You can’t deport citizens. Some naturalized citizens can be denaturalized after a felony conviction.

He is describing expulsion, a crime against humanity. It should not be subject to negotiation.

Primary the entire leadership. Get them out of office if they won’t defend our rights.
House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries (D-N.Y.) on Thursday said House Democrats will demand a ban on the deportation of American citizens as a condition of winning their support for legislation funding the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

The 2025 shootings of Minnesota legislators were treated far too lightly. Media and the public moved on too fast without grasping the seriousness of assassination. These are life and death issues, not just differences of opinion the USA is working out. The reactionary right is ready to kill.

We're in a time in American history where the president of the United States is sending FBI agents out to help rig the midterms. This is not an administration, it's a mafia doing their dirty work for all to see & I am FURIOUS at everyone who helped normalize this level of crime in our government.

To paraphrase Dave Barry, someone who is nice to you, but cruel to most of America, is not a nice person.

Narcissists tend to like superficially charming but awful people because the superficial charm satisfies their need for admiration.
Clarence Thomas is apparently one of the nicest people you’ll ever meet, and famously knows the name of every single employee at the Supreme Court, down to the night janitors. His character is still bad! Not sure what “Alito is a kind in interpersonal situations” has to do with this.
