The best AI can ever do musically is create something that sounds good on the first pass. That is its ceiling, in my opinion. Could be useful for elevators and waiting rooms maybe. But it will never make something worth coming back to or talking about for more than a minute.
Every instance of "AI democratizes the arts, you're classist and ableist and a gatekeeper for trying to stop it" is a slap in the face to the literally centuries of poor, disabled people making art on the margins and a crass lie in service of a machine that strips down and regurgitates dreams

Another wonderful thing about Buck Martinez is he hated the 2024 team as much as the rest of us did. Hearing him get pissed off every week that none of the pitchers had any velocity and nobody could hit was incredibly cathartic.

Buck was the best to ever do it not just because he was a great broadcaster but because he was an old guy who didn’t get left behind by the game. He always praised the Jays for having fun and playing with joy and he wasn’t above changing his mind. He was the model, not Smoltz.
Buck saying he initially opposed extended netting but came around on it because it’s saved so many people who are “eating popcorn or having a cold beer” is why I love him. Old school guy whose mind can be changed, only guy on earth not citing ~kids on their phones~ there

I think the band I was in was playing a show that night, which is incredible because in 10yrs I think we played like 5 shows (probably why I remember the date). It was great. Tons family and friends music and having a great time, definitely a better night than getting turned down for the pedo party

Trump used to have this phenomenon where if you read his statements they'd be completely nonsensical, but then if you heard the clip, it was easier to parse what he was going for. That has now changed. No idea what the fuck he's on about.

I've started getting emails from associates I know personally that are very conspicuously Chat GPT generated and while I don't think everyone has the ability to pick up on it yet, it has a style distinct enough that eventually everyone will, and I think it's gonna be a problem for the LLM's.

My cousin works for a grocery store and told us one time a guy started hawking the store's Christmas outside the store to people in the mall for 5 bucks and keeping thr cash. He'd even bring it to your car! Thats just called spreading Christmas Cheer in my book
