The kingdom is drowning, reality is collapsing, and now this hot married couple, in ignorance of the time loop he's oathbound to maintain, is playing kissing games with Sir Gavin.

The yearly beheadings don't seem to be helping. Neither does being "good".

Time to try something different 🏳️‍🌈🌈✨

Rhysling nominations close today! I hope you'll consider 'Eagle-Eyed', my slipstream poem published in Eye to the Telescope, for the short-form category.

this wonderful piece from 1920 by Maurice Leroy is highly relevant to our current winter games, and also, love the energy of him depicting someone straight up falling on their ass while the other person poses jauntily

my best story yet (in my opinion) was published in On Spec in 2025, and I’m so honoured I was able to be a part of it—and was so devastated to learn of its closure.

On Spec for best semiprozine 💜
The importance of On Spec cannot be overstated. The magazine's editor, Diane Walton, has done incredible work for more than 30 years

On Spec is eligible as semiprozine.

It would be really great to see her get her first Hugo nod as best editor (short form), since this year will be her last chance.
Oh, and two mags that are no longer publishing in 2026 but are eligible for 2025 nominations are On Spec and Fantasy. Stories from both appear in my short fiction spotlight column. Go check them out.

I'm putting forward two of the three stories I had published this year for your consideration. I'd love especially if you'd consider "Fishwife" for the Aurora Award for Short Fiction, since it's my mémère story 💜

We need just €100 a day to provide food, water, and basic necessities.

Your donation, no matter how small, helps us survive another day.

For the families of Tumbler Ridge.
Folks – there are several families who do not have individual GoFundMe fundraisers set up, and so they may be relying heavily on the funds raised by the local school PAC.

There are a few independent links for specific children and/or their families, and Johnny Malcom Foundation has the list:
Looks like one of our local nonprofits will endeavour to keep all the verified links in one spot for easy access:
