If a giant metal airship / aerial base finally makes it into one of my published stories, it’s because of TaleSpin and not Fallout.

My Mary Poppins poem is new free to read over @smallwondersmag.com!
Go on, take a peek inside "Mary's Bag." Today's poem by Marscia Pichette is a glimpse at the tools of a wonder worker - you probably know a few yourself.
Mary’s Bag - Small Wonders
The seams are whip-stitched, faded brocade / dappled with poppies, mullion, and sycamore bark. / Its leather handles remember her grip—firm, / decisive.

Wrote a little in TLR, just a paragraph or two. Not much, but my writing streak grows to three days.

I also started work on turning a trunked novelette into a full novella, a project I might fritter at in between bigger projects.

I'm reading poetry subs at Strange Horizons this month. You can submit up to 6 speculative poems in a single file or separate files. I recommend separate files, because we allow simultaneous submissions and it's easier to withdraw individual poems. Guidelines: strangehorizons.com/submit/poetr...

I feel this. I come up with opening lines before I come up with plots, so I have all these cool openings that peter out and go nowhere.

Second day in a row of getting some words down. Working on two chapters, one in 1993, one in the present, feeling my way toward the double climax. (Really should have picked a more straightforward structure for my first published novel. Oh well.)

Current wordcount is 59658.
