There are 358 days until the next election and some senators who need to not be on the ballot when that happens

Our neighbors across the street are standing in their driveway staring up at the sky. Crows are yelling somewhere out of sight. What in the folk horror is going on today?

I hate the phrase, “It’s not left vs. right, it’s top vs. bottom!” It’s like… what do you think the foundational tenet of leftism is. The core principle. Please tell me.

A billion dollars is an immoral consequence of doing business in the way prescribed by society at large. It is necessarily exploitative and evil, and any decent person would actually give that money away before getting there.

A Trillion dollars is LITERALLY A THOUSAND TIMES WORSE.

He said that the agents would throw food at them to eat. The agents threatened to withhold food for a week and to beat him up if he didn't sign deportation papers. He said he saw others refuse and get beaten/receive no food. He signed because he was afraid.

Reading a book on Neanderthals, I was particularly drawn to its depiction of the Eemian interglacial (marine isotope stage 5e). Warm forests, high sea levels, macaques and elephants in northern Europe. It would certainly make for an interesting Spear & Fang setting.

I was a stay-at-home parent for nine years. Sometimes I miss when my teen was little. Not enough to want another kid, but enough to wish I had community and could, like, babysit for a friend once or twice a month.

I want jail time for every ICE agent.

And public shunning. So that finding out someone worked for ICE gets the same reaction as finding out someone was a nazi guard back in the day. When people understood nazis were BAD.

I’m planning two short story collections set in my Timeworlds universe. I’m also completely out of publishable short stories. Every once in a while my neurons spark together and I realize: if I actually write the stories I have planned for my collections, I can then submit them to magazines! 🤯
