Thomas Massie to CNN on the Epstein files: "This vote is gonna be on your record for longer than Trump is gonna be president. And what are you gonna do in 2028 and 2030 when you're in a debate … and they say, 'How can we trust you? You covered up for a pedophile back in 2025.'"

Did FOX actually broadcast this?
Hannity: When did you notice Biden’s cognitive decline?

Miller: I think it was through all of the times that Trump has fallen asleep in public and talked about magnets getting wet.

Shockingly, when you are total dicks to your friends and allies, they turn elsewhere or do things for themselves rather than involving you in their business.

Particularly when you (loudly) insist, incessantly, that every relationship you have has to skew in your favor.

Dumbasses.

Just finished reading this. Yes, old skeet, but it hit my feed this morning. The article answers a lot more questions than it asks. I commend it to your attention.
“The pattern is one that involved modeling agencies around the world serving as fronts for human trafficking…This may very well be what Trump is trying desperately to keep quiet in the DOJ’s Epstein files.”

The Epstein case is not an issue about Trump and the US but rather about all the Trumps of the Western world with ties to Russia

📣 OK, as promised, here's my *deeper* dive into how 14 states have instituted #ACA pricing policy which will *dramatically* mitigate the expiring tax credits for a significant portion of enrollees...IF enrollees take advantage of it:

Last week I posted a deep dive into how a bunch of states are taking action to at least partially cancel out the impact of the impending end of the enhanced federal Advance Premium Tax Credits (APTC) ...

Beyond moronic.

Pitchfork and Guillotine manufacturers might be worth investing in.
UPDATE: The Senate votes 53-47 to shoot down the Baldwin amendment to extend ACA funds for 1 year. A party-line vote with every Republican rejecting it.
An important vote in this series: Tammy Baldwin’s proposal to extend ACA expiring funds for 1 year. It’s structured as a motion to table (i.e. scrap it from the amendment tree). But it’ll show the appetite (or lack thereof) in the Senate to address this issue.

A lot of people are reading this as Trump hating the US... But there is a significant skills gap in American industry.

Remember when they rounded up those Korean engineers Hyundai sent over to set up a factory? They had to send them because there was nobody available in the US with their expertise.

TRUMP: You have to bring in talent

INGRAHAM: Well, we have plenty of talented people in America

TRUMP: No you don't. No.

INGRAHAM: We don't have talented people here?

Again with the snow?

Come on.

This has to let up lol.
November 12, 2025 at 3:57 AM
So it just snowed again... What is that like 3 straight days of snow accumulation in the first half of November?

Seems fun.

This should be 2-1 as @mostlyleafies.bsky.social pointed out. MoneyPuck had the 2nd Pasta goal as 5v5 but it was on the PP.
If you remove the power plays, the xG was actually tied in the game at 1.79 apiece (via MoneyPuck).

BOS outscored TOR 3-1 at 5v5 though.
November 12, 2025 at 3:08 AM
So as bad as it is that the Leafs lost again, they actually looked less horrible after Matthews and Stolarz left the game.

Showed some jam and competitiveness defended a bit better... Just couldn't finish particularly.

But falling behind 4-1 is pretty brutal.
November 12, 2025 at 2:51 AM
So are we ready to say the Leafs have serious dysfunction in the locker room yet?

Because the coach and starting goalie keep losing their shit on the skaters and it seems sort of obvious the message is having the opposite of the desired effect.

I *teach* Math and this sentiment bothers me. A Lot.

But also: *pre-K* report cards aren't going to give you much, if any, meaningful information re your child's skills at math and reading?
I think the belief by the powerful that "people will put up with many things if you are excellent at math" is incredibly revealing in terms of understanding How We Got Here

Kinda sets off some alarm bells when members of the Five Eyes Treaty stop sharing their intelligence info with each other... and it leaks to the public.

Financial Penalties may be the best way to go after the rich people ruining society.

Except no they didn't.

The US Lost various conflicts that preceded the Barbary Wars.

They tried to invade Canada and lost the War of 1812.

Tried to invade Taiwan in the Formosa Expedition - which failed miserably.

Sent 5000 troops to support the White Russians in the Russian Revolution and lost.
Trump: "We have officially renamed the Dept of Defense back to the original name, Dept of War. And remember we won World War 1, we won World War 2, we won everything in between. We won everything that came before. And then we brilliantly decided to change the name. We became politically correct"

To add to this discourse (which as an educator I am very aware of), my 10 year old still uses the poor reading strategies rather than phonics because he is *stubborn as hell*.

He has been taught and told and shown how to use phonics to sound out words for literally years and obstinately doesn't.

Humanity is losing touch with reality because nobody trusts *ANYTHING* or *ANYONE* that tells them their personal feelings are incorrect.

They don't reframe their thinking or adjust their perception when presented with information that contradicts their feelings. They just dismiss it as untrue.
It's funny watching the vibecession come for Trump after destroying Biden, but also a little depressing, because it means everyone will just keep lying about everything.

Trump is lying that prices are down (they're up!) and liberals will lie and exaggerate how bad it is (not that bad, so far).

So on the dead James Bond topic... Has anyone suggested... Zombie Bond?

00Z makes for a cool film title that aligns with the zombie film boom.

Just an idea.

"What's the point of standards?" sums up the mentality of many who fail upwards into positions of authority, because a complete lack of them hasn't prevented them from succeeding.

These are people for whom ethics are but a curiosity; accountability a dirty word; and compliance is an afterthought.
“I’ve been hearing that standards will be eliminated or severely cut back. Bari has told people that she wants to get rid of standards and is shocked that they have so much power. She also asked openly, ‘What’s the point of standards?’” one CBS source said.

Ontario needs to be unplugged for 30 seconds and plugged back in.

The number of morons that equate Doug Ford spending $75M of tax payer dollars on a commercial that pissed off Donald Trump to *governing* is apparently REALLY HIGH.

On the topic of the Leafs making giveaways... By far the worst culprits are Nic Roy, Max Domi and Morgan Rielly at 5v5.

Rielly has the 9th highest giveaway per 60 rate in the NHL (6.98), Roy has the 15th highest (6.38). Domi sits in a tie for 38th (5.56).
