just a reminder that COVID is totally asymptomatic in 40% of cases (and much higher in children)

and an asymptomatic case can still cause long COVID, permanent organ damage, etc.

My Fulfillment Centre messed up and sent out some orders they shouldn't have so some customers received double their orders. This issue has been fixed now but I am incredibly sad about this. Because it's financial loss when I've been bleeding a lot of money most of 2025.

SSDI has been delayed, and Wylder needs our help to survive!!!

Groceries, rent, medical bills and needs, etc.— every dollar helps. Every repost and quotepost can help.

Please help bridge the wait for his SSDI, because this is some hot bullshit to put someone through.
SSDI (disability) didnt hit, which means I have to assume it wont until it does or I get some sort of notice.

Please help us pay rent & survive?

Also last time, when this happened, there was NO Warning. I got the warning letter (postmarked after it happened) a WEEK later.

So as of now I have to assume something fucked up and I am starting the year with nothing.

Help? linktr.ee/wylder

As an ace/aro player, I've been mulling compulsory sexuality in choice-driven games. It's not always intentional, and it's not even always bad art. But it's jarred me out of some great games.

I'd like to write an essay about this sometime. Is there a good magazine venue for this sort of thing?

People say it’s “wrong” to make your disability your identity.

It’s “wrong” to put it in your bio.

It’s “wrong” to make it a central part of who you are.

They want us to hide.

I think it’s wrong to force us to hide for the comfort of others.

I hid for years.

Rain is no longer romantic.

Now it only means cold, fear, and sickness.

For our children, even a blanket is a dream.

Rain is a blessing… but without a roof, it becomes a cruel test.

Any support, however small, makes a difference.

As we experience a huge surge of flu cases, a reminder that the widespread usage of masks at the start of the COVID pandemic wiped out a strain of the flu.

If you haven’t been masking up lately, now would be a great time to restart.
The Covid-19 pandemic killed off one strain of the flu, and that will change the next vaccines | CNN
For 10 years, Americans have had access to flu shots that protect against four strains of the virus: two A strains and two B strains. Starting this fall, however, all the flu shots distributed in the ...

I stand by this post.
Society doesn't care enough about disabled people to make it safe to suggest that it's okay to steal and/or beat up anyone with AI glasses or Meta Glasses. You're more than likely going to harm someone who is wearing normal glasses & likely to act in a way that people won't accept as neurodivergent.
We live in a world where teachers have tried to remove students insulin pumps and cochlear implants because they assumed they were phones or recording devices. Let’s not encourage destroying something that could end up being a legitimate aid.

Also as a disabled person, I believe it’s more ableist saying that we cannot do things without robots as it reduces us to lesser beings, which is a key component of ableism.
The “ableist” accusation from gAI boosters pisses me off so much. You know what’s really ableist? Telling my students they can’t possibly engage with difficult (or any!) text without the help of gAI. They prey on students’ crises of conference in a way that is truly disgusting.

My honest opinion is that it's never actually necessary to reference how "intelligent" a character is. Especially if it's in comparison to another character. That's just bullshit intellectual ableism.
I’m not going dispute that the writing process is messy, especially handwritten notes about character.

That said, I would never post a note saying an autistic character of color is less intelligent than a white man even if you water boarded me.

Keep it in the group chat, yt people. #Romancelandia

This is one of the reasons the “Covid is just a flu” narrative always bothered me.

It minimized the risk of COVID while also downplaying the severity of the flu.

The flu is not a joke. It can & does kill. It can & does disable.

Please get vaccinated.

A well fitted mask like an N95 helps too!
The death of any child is tragic. We always think it will not be my child, they are healthy. Severe influenza can be unpredictable & deadly. Getting vaccinated considerably reduces dz severity and deaths. Please make sure you are vaccinated & your children are too.
