So the full title is COLOR TASTE TEXTURE: Recipes for Picky Eaters, Those with Food Aversion, and Anyone Who’s Ever Cringed at Food. I know that “picky eaters” is a loaded term, the sole purpose of it in the title is so it can be found by the most people. It’s used sparingly within the book itself.

I’m an Autistic classically trained chef and I wrote a food aversion acceptance cookbook and guide titled COLOR TASTE TEXTURE, that’s all about finding out what works for specific sensory needs and how to customize food for them. It’s useful for all ages, no cooking experience necessary.

One of my clients died yesterday. She was an absolutely lovely woman, full of faith and joy and light. She cared deeply about the people around her. She was a source of encouragement and support to the women she was incarcerated with. She was 51 years old and had spent 28 years in prison.

Good Morning Councilor Manning-Martin I am reaching out as a resident of Danvers who regularly works and bikes in Peabody. I was disappointed to read your Facebook post yesterday that used inflammatory language about e-bikes "terrorizing" neighborhoods. Unfortunately, there are many misconceptions about e-bikes, and much of the behavior people are citing is actually attributed to e-motos. Class 1 and 2 e-bikes have a top speed of 20 mph and Class 3 bikes have a top speed of 28 mph. By contrast, e-motos can reach speeds up to 65 mph. Mass Bike has an excellent FAQ on e-bikes and People for Bikes has a nice breakdown of the differences between e-bikes and e-motos. It is critically important that conversations about e-bikes are grounded in facts and not misinformation. E-bikes have become an incredible tool for transportation accessibility, providing new mobility options to older or disabled people. When our leaders demonize e-bikes, they threaten the expansion of this powerful tool. I think that instead of focusing on the negative cases, which often involve e-motos, it is important to acknowledge the transformational power of e-bikes. Finally, I am also concerned about the language of "terrorizing" when the biggest danger on our streets are drivers. There was a comment on Facebook about bike riders passing school buses, but we have data from the school bus camera pilot in Peabody showing that drivers do this thousands of times a year. When a car hits someone the result is often serious injury or death; such cases are incredibly rare with e-bikes. I think that it is important to frame the risk of an e-bike appropriately. If you would not describe drivers as "terrorizing" our streets then I do not think it is fair at all to use such language to describe e-bikes. I think it's important that we do have conversations about both e-bikes and e-motos, but I also think it's important to ground those discussions in facts and to avoid inflammatory language. This James Bond issue is so weird... this is (one reason) why I left fandom long ago there's to many "how do we explain this" shenanigans when the answer is always "it's a tv show/movie"!

Could people just NOT when it comes to thinking they'er being helpful when someone talks about food aversions? People with food aversions ESPECIALLY when it's ARFID cannot just get over it or eat something else. If there is one particular brand or version for the food they will it THAT IS IT.

So my son eats a bowl of Barilla Penne pasta for dinner every night. He eats it plain - no butter, no oil, a little salt in the water. It's what he likes. Like blueberries, which I covered in May, we're concerned with what it means that access to some of the things he relies on may be difficult.
