So long as Labour hold firm on Brexit, all their bleating about having been dealt an atrocious hand by the Tories is so much hot air.
Support for "Make Brexit Works" holes that argument below the waterline.
It is ludicrous to be contemplating tax rises, but not trying to undo Brexit.

1/ The US Government has quietly removed a memorial to Black soldiers who died in World War II from the Netherlands American Cemetery in Margraten, South Limburg. The move follows a complaint from the right-wing Heritage Foundation to the American Battle Monuments Commission. ⬇️

That's weird. If Labour wants to cut 'red tape', maybe it should not be averse to the EU. How much red tape has been added as a result of Brexit? (That's rhetorical ofc).
Although 'paying' EU membership (which included fees for the bureaucracy), at least UK had considerable reciprocal benefits.

How a plan to redraw the Irish border fell apart
In the early years of partition, the exact line the border took was still very much up for debate.

I wrote about the lessons the Danish social democrats want to offer Labour last month, and noted a distinct uptick in Denmark Chat at conference. As I discuss in the piece, I am more convinced by the arguments for Spain-as-model.

The remote must have been hidden by the hotel management. Or maybe she couldn't figure out how to use it.

Trump's tariffs are hurting us in two ways:
First, the obvious: Higher costs → either lower profits or higher prices.
Second, more subtle (perhaps bigger): We’ve signaled we’re an unreliable partner, so allies are reorganizing supply chains to avoid us. That's hard to unwind.

It's interesting that there is no source for the assertions made by Swinford in his article. If the UKG wants to educate children how to identify misinformation, it could start televising the daily lobby briefings to the press, so the public learn the facts, not the media's slant on them.
