Condé Nast emptied out every single trans and Black journalist from Teen Vogue while clearing a six figure salary for a woman who slept with people she was covering while she mocked real concerns about their fitness

Lord knows I need money but this is SYSTEMIC
And they're taking up space that could be better used by other people, people who have fucking integrity.

People like Sydette.
Nuzzi may be a joke or punchline , but she got into position by being constantly excused for being an abusive manipulative ass.

And falling back to the same schtick of being “seduced “ by men and”jealous es” by women

And you know someone like her right the fuck now

Who you’re NOT stopping

I'm going to keep saying this.
Every progressive elected got elected the first time, via the Democratic Party.

There is no nationwide Progressive Party, only the progressive wing of the Democratic Party.

The next time you vote, no matter who you -think- it's for adds/subtracts 1 to/from R or D.

In 48 other states, new moms have access to Medicaid for up to one year after they give birth. Not in Wisconsin.

There, the limit remains two months. And it’s only because of one man: Assembly Speaker Robin Vos.

Bessent's not only hiding these docs, he bizarrely claimed Treasury has no role investigating them at all. It’s a lie. It's impossible someone with his background doesn’t know about Treasury's extensive role investigating the kinds of financial crimes Epstein must have been committing.

Great news that the Senate has passed the bill forcing the DOJ to release its Epstein file. Now Bondi must comply. But our work cannot stop there. We need to force the Treasury to release the Epstein bank records too. I have a bill to make that happen. FOLLOW THE MONEY.

He was calling for free expression in the Arab world. You can read it here :

Opinion | Jamal Khashoggi: What the Arab world needs most is free expression
The Arab world needs a modern version of the old transnational media so citizens can be informed about global events.

Corruption right in front of your eyes:

1) Bennet says he wants universal healthcare.

2) DaVita drops $50K into his Super PAC.

3) Suddenly Bennet claims he “can’t do anything” on healthcare as Governor.

This is what bought-and-paid-for politics looks like.

welp, there goes my submitting work to F&SF, Asimovs or Analog
(So very sorry for the editors who don't deserve any of this)
I'm in the current issue of Analog. I managed to negotiate to a contract I was willing to sign. Naively, I thought that established writers giving this feedback would eventually make a dent.

It hasn't. I don't know that it will. I just wrote to Trevor withdrawing a story I'd sold to him.
Did you read my post from last week about how contract woes caused me to withdraw an accepted story from F&SF, ending my 54-year quest to be published in that magazine? But wait (as the saying goes) — there's more! Scroll down at the link for an update. www.scottedelman.com/wordpress/20...
