I really miss Adobe Photoshop Mix because it let me realize my genius from my phone
Note to self for future hard bodies... Don't grab the primer instead of the clear gloss, especially if you've already put on the decals. Gonna be a...learning-experience paint job. #tamiya

Look, I'm sorry, but I will never forgive him for Star Wars. If he wants out of director jail he needs to do at least three movies with a budget of $12 million or less and they all have to be absolute bangers. One more bad "puzzle box" and he goes to the director phantom zone.
Rewatched STAR TREK ‘09. We gotta get JJ out of director jail, man.

Picked up a book that is a good version of what it's doing, but that's a thing I had a real phase with like a decade ago and I read ten or fifteen excellent books in the same vein. So I just put this one down. Didn't expect this particular way getting older would make reading for pleasure harder.

I just read that rich people are getting fat injections from human corpses to fill out the bits that Ozempic flattened out too much. I know that's absurd, but hear me out...

One of the joys of RC cars is fixing shit. It must be, because I haven't put a full pack through one in the last year before something breaks. Also, I should paint all my dog bones neon orange so I can find them when they're ejected.

As the year wraps up and we all prepare for the winter holiday break, please remember the reason for the season, and that there’s still time to send out an offer on a book, perhaps for six figures, in a multiple book deal, with no joint accounting. Bless.

Ask me about the time I spent three years at see throwing harpoons at cetaceans after reading Moby-Dick
“Writing (kink) script is disgusting and makes people indulge in (immoral act)” is the same as “video games cause violence” btw

My 5-yr-old is getting into music and I wanted him to have his own, so I picked up this sick Sony portable boombox and bought him a box set of his current favorite band, Dio.

Basically every modern individual complaint can be reframed as, "rent-seeking middlemen are a cancerous byproduct of unregulated capitalism that we need to excise."
not sure how to square ‘no one person can be reasonably expected to pay for every media subscription’ with ‘sorely underpaid writers need to make a living’ but my inclination is not to locate that problem with any of the broke ass people on either end of the complaint

Kinda feels like Tarantino just wants headlines for something other than all the shady shit he and Weinstein pulled on Thurman and the stink of collusion with a predator that brings. Y'know, if we're talking about Tarantino.

I think a lot about how most of us wanted to work together and do right when COVID happened and instead we were force fed disinformation and hate to turn us against each other because the wealthy couldn't risk our solidarity and their victory in that most vulnerable moment finally broke us
There are so many people living lives of quiet dignity despite horrific medical news or poverty or tragedy where every day they still wake up and try to be good people in the world even as the world pushes against them and it makes me even angrier at the absolute shitheads that rule over things

I have said a million times that the rebranding of the luddites as "afraid of technology" has been one of capitalism's greatest PR victories.
An easy way to explain luddites:

Textile manufacturers brought in machines that could do in an hour what would have taken 12 hours by hand.

And then, tried to keep paying the now 12x more productive workers the same wages as before.

That's it, that was the problem luddites had. Not complex.

The only thing that's newsworthy about lottery winner taxes is the fact that billionaires' wealth is also subsidized by taxpayers so why the fuck aren't they paying their fair share. Otherwise, this is some weird neoliberal distraction bullshit.

So...GM makes really shit huge, expensive EVs, and compromises their cheap EVs with decisions like no phone mirroring, then kills their EV program and says they expect EV sales to slow. Full Eric Andre meme shit. finance.yahoo.com/news/general...

The thing about AI anime dubs and AI Actor Tilly Norwood and AI music is just the fucking disrespect, this is what your industry thinks can replace you and it’s not even good. It’s not even a thing you look at with dread at how the computer has replaced Man, it just sucks ass lol it just blows

The thing I do miss is finding absolutely game-breaking synergies. I know they're still out there, but I swear every action RPG I played in the early 2000s had at least one upgrade interaction that just cracked the game wide open without being glitches or exploits.
No, I 100% agree that computer RPGs these days have too much handholding. I, too, yearn for the days of being able to spend hours crafting my perfect build from hundreds of available options, only to discover that it mathematically cannot survive the mandatory rat fight portion of the first dungeon.
