Wasn't there a short novel a couple years ago? Six Wakes?

I also feel like there was a Babylon 5 episode where a human was killing aliens...

Not movies, but still!

It definitely feels like part of the con. That company has build a giant market cap by continuously promising it'll actually be worth that much at some point in the future. This deal is another way of saying that.

Nice! How does it hold up? I don't remember anything about the story but I really vividly remember a lot of visuals.

Yur Aunt in Florida who bought a Trump coin doesn't get the difference. But the people behind generating the narrative and botting it out all over social media and Fox News do. They _want_ land to vote instead of people, and they're going to try and make that happen. It's not a joke, it's a promise.

Now we just need the Democrats to actually be populist and progressive instead of "neoliberal megacapitalists but at least we look sad when we deport people"

(uh, sorry if that comes off as cart before the horse. It's most important to defend these groups because they're people who deserve to live their lives. Doing the right thing is what makes people want to join you...)

And this is why it's so important for the Dem establishment to stand up for trans people and immigrants and POC and everyone else. When they do that, they create a space people want to join. Dems could mobilize a generation just by consistently being on the right side of basic human rights issues.

It's cool to see how many indie studios are embracing lo-fi or stylized graphics to make really interesting games. I also love the Like a Dragon franchise for being willing to reuse assets because they know their audience cares more about the story.

It felt like a misunderstanding of the difference between movie plotting and game plotting by a studio that's otherwise savvy.

Yeah, it was super weird they introduced that mechanic and then only employed it in a handful of plot moments. I mean, I prefer to take my time in games so I wasn't mad... But they could've written basically the same plot without that particular ticking clock.

Dropped off my ballot today. Weirdly, Google Maps was not showing me any drop box locations, so I had to go through the government website. The locations near me had also changed since the last election.
