YouTube Playables are htg modern eldritch-grade insanities. A game about a faceless yellow amiibo mining, slashing, upgrading. It is *unfinished*: when you access the final biome in the 2-minutes-end-to-end world, it has no resources or enemies or gameplay in it.

1 million players.

The new preface to this great and depressing scholarly book gets into the explosion of sports betting and “prediction markets” since 2012’s 1st edition, plus well-meaning games-for-change types trying to harness dark patterns for good. Everyone within 30 feet of gamedev should read it.

I've learned I like animating little effects like this in pixel art, since actual skill isn't crucial

Plus it's just impressive that I can find/take time to do them while juggling all the other responsibilities

I have long been annoyed at how Spellbooks were only usable by Wizards; they are utter trash to 75% of the Player Classes, which is antithetical to our design tenets.
