#Bookvember

Free for all. I was a fairly solitary child to begin with, and we were very poor so being dropped off at the library for a couple hours was not uncommon.

It was fine. I was more of a reader than anyone else in my family, really.

People tell you to write the book only you can write, but I suggest writing the book only you and ONE OTHER PERSON ON EARTH can write, so you're motivated to get it written before Greg finishes.

Free for all, I pretty much got as many of whatever books from the library as I wanted. My parents are immigrants who aren't big readers and especially not in English, so there was always a bit of an assumption on their part that they wouldn't really understand what I was reading anyway.

No, I'm not, but it probably works fine for others. I only write when my characters play their movie story. And sometimes none of them play for days or week. I never force writing to fit any word counts, as I don't even count words until we reach the end of the story.
Greetings, #pretendpanel! One week into writeathon month, I'm wondering how you feel about this notorious topic...

November 7th: X number of words per day - are you a fan of this approach or not?

I am just going to keep posting that the TX governor recently pardoned a political murderer.

The dude texted "I'm going to shoot protestors", then went and shot a Black Lives Matter protester. He was convicted in a jury trial.

Hard to find a more blatant example of celebrating political violence.

Stop complying in advance.
1. Trump threatened every hospital that provides gender affirming care to transgender youth.

Many complied and shut down their programs.

Boston Children's Hospital didn't. They fought back and kept providing care.

And now, they just beat Trump in court.

For how much coffee I drink, it's rarely actually in my fiction? But there's a mention in the opening of this short story I've been kicking around revising :)

Let's pay human translators in Africa to translate books from non-colonial African languages into English!

You can donate money or a small creation, buy from the ko-fi shop, and all the money gets to the African press who's going to publish the book.
