“He holds me so tight I might compress back into stardust.

Her loving fingers card through my hair so softly, with the tenderness I missed for decades of my life.

Low tones of “I love you” received with trust and warmth, having been, at long last, understood.”

I try to love myself this same way.🤍
A-: not as in missing, without, but as in free.

So many spaces of perceived absence beget

So much room for becoming

A person who can finally love themself back.

“I imagine sharing a bed, waking up feeling home in a partner’s arms as I turn to gaze on his face, slowly running my fingers through his morning hair.”

As an aroace who grew up resonating with David & Jonathan, I recognize also the wonderful love here, asexual homoromantic comfort in the same.

God, this hit close to home. Beautifully written piece!

As someone who had a close friendship that may be was really a qpr, and lost it, I feel like this author understands the specific ache that comes with that and describes it beautifully.

Unfortunately, I also received this news yesterday about the book Ending the Pursuit: Asexuality, Aromanticism, and Agender Identity. Although I spent many years writing the book and it was released last year, I have still yet to receive anything for its sales.
So there you have it. My ex-publishers who last year stopped paying me for the seven books I'd written for them, have today gone back on their promise that some of the money that they owe me and their other authors would come through. I should have guessed.. www.thebookseller.com/news/unbound...
Unbound authors will not receive unpaid royalty payments until new publisher Boundless 'is cash stable'
As founder John Mitchinson leaves, Unbound authors learn they will not receive historic royalty payments for sales of their books unless Boundless "survives and thrives".
