This is true. When I first moved to town, I had to stay in a hotel for several days until we finished closing. They encouraged me to use my former address so they would allow me to book at all.
A Hampton Inn in Asheville just canceled my family's reservation because our address (incorrectly) showed Asheville—and the hotel bars locals within 50 miles.
When I asked why, they said, "because of our homeless population," adding that most hotels here have similar policies.
This is outrageous.

I just stopped using Firefox this year as I moved over to DuckDuckGo. It has absolutely nothing to do with AI; it’s privacy related. I mourn for the loss of what Firefox was for so many years.
Mozilla has a new CEO and he just announced that Firefox will evolve into a modern AI browser. This is a good example of how management doesn’t understand its own user base and why they go out of their way to install Firefox on Windows, Android, iOS and other devices blog.mozilla.org/en/mozilla/l...
