The concept of caring enough about your country to show up for free is completely incomprehensible to these people.
Sean Duffy: "The No Kings protest, Maria, really frustrating. This is part of antifa, paid protesters. It begs the question who's funding it."

The Ford Pinto had 27 fire fatalities in 9 years and everyone lost their minds. The Cybertruck has had 5 fire fatalities since it came out less than two years ago, and people are still buying them. They're death traps.

Seattle comrades: If you're interested in doing a bit more to stand up to the erosion of our civil rights, we are expecting a huge crowd for the next No Kings protest, and can really use more volunteers, especially on the safety team! Here's the form to sign up.

Ugh, that's too bad.
Rinck's amendment to restore eight neighborhood centers eliminated by Mayor Bruce Harrell in his proposed comprehensive plan fails, with only Rinck voting yes.

Owning a home has let me have stable housing for over 20 years. Everyone should have access to stable housing.
Green Lake resident Ruth: "The only thing I really don't like about my neighborhood is how many of my neighbors are living and dying on the streets because they can't afford housing."

Hey so just fyi, if you're abandoning trans rights you're abandoning all civil rights

At that point what the fuck is the point of the democracy you're willing to sacrifice trans people for

This actually isn't hard at all, quit making it pretend hard because you finally feel scared too

NIMBYs: “We don’t oppose new housing, just luxury units that aren’t affordable for working people”

(Someone proposes an affordable housing project)

NIMBYs:
Bainbridge Island's planning commission is currently picking apart the affordable housing project the Low Income Housing Institute wants to build near the state ferry terminal, suggesting it should be:

-Shorter
-Have more parking
-Have a more onerous design process
-Have public art
Today in "we support affordable housing - just not here"...

A new campaign seeks to "Save the Corner" by blocking a planned 90-unit affordable apartment building that the city of Bainbridge Island is looking to build on city-owned property near the WSDOT ferry terminal.

There is absolutely no excuse for any Democrat asked about trans athletes to ever respond with anything but “why are you wasting my time asking about FEWER THAN FIFTEEN CHILDREN AND YOUNG ADULTS IN THE ENTIRE COUNTRY WHO WANT TO PLAY GAMES WITH THEIR FRIENDS. What is wrong with you?”

people who use AI as a replacement for thinking, learning and communicating should be shamed and punished. the same way we shame and punish drunk drivers, or people who negligently discharge firearms.

The thing about neoliberals and right wingers who make their entire politics around “leftists are annoying online” is like… yeah. Some of them are really annoying. But if you put your phone away you stop seeing them. I can’t do the same thing with my boss or my landlord or the cops

The Washington Post trying to frame this as anything other than a massive failure is so pathetic. How did the organizers of this parade manage to make the mightiest military in the world look so toothless? Why is the paper who broke the Washington Post amplifying hollow propaganda? Shameful.
Planes roared over D.C. on Saturday, tanks rolled along the National Mall, brass bands resounded and thousands of soldiers marched past cheering crowds, as the Army put on the largest show of military might in the capital in more than three decades. wapo.st/4dYFOck

Timely perspective and wisdom from Rebecca Solnit. "I believe ardently that nonviolent resistance is ... the most effective strategy, but that doesn't mean it must be polite, placid, or please our opponents, not least because nothing ever will and they'll lie and distort no matter what." 💯
