Yesterday, when Bovino announced ICE would be returning to Little Village today, some of us donated and fundraised to buy out street vendors in the neighborhood. This morning, volunteers hit the streets at 6:30 am, looking for vendors to buy out. Tamales make an excellent breakfast.

Eight months ago, Katie Wilson declared her intention to run and all the conventional powers-that-be said she didn't stand a chance of winning.

Remember that we don't always know what is possible.
Wilson now leads in the Seattle mayoral race by 91 votes. Prior to today, Harrell had been leading by 4,300 votes, but this latest vote batch netted Wilson 4,391 votes.

What do you call a leader with no followers? Just a guy taking a walk.

He's not just a senator. He's the *leader*. His job isn't his personal vote. His job is to unify and lead his caucus against the regime.

Are there any national level Democratic leaders who will call out this betrayal and organize the campaign to remove Schumer?

The leader of the opposition party is supposed to ensure that the opposition speaks with a unified message.

Chuck Schumer failed yet again at that. Why is he still in his role?

It’s mind boggling how they decided to”we’re not going to fight about all of Trump’s lawless authoritarianism, we will make this about one thing: health care” and then they just gave in on that. They should get blamed!

There's one central rule in working against autocrats - if they see you as weak, if you attempt to appease, you are creating a permission structure for them to escalate, to take more.

Ds are strong right now, and he is weak. We need to use our strength to get more for the American people, not less
With our big election win last week, and Trump's clear political and physical decline, Dems should be more ambitious now, and fight even harder, for the country and the American people. Voters saw us fighting for them & we were rewarded across the country 👇

Indeed. Until progressives in the Senate Democratic caucus directly challenge Schumer’s leadership it’s kind of hard to take their grousing seriously at this point. They are all in on this #SchumerSurrender politics.
Hey just a reminder that it only takes 23 Senate Democrats to remove and replace Chuck Schumer as minority leader. They don't do it because the majority of Senate Democrats approve of the way he does politics.

🚨 We’re hearing that Senate Democrats are on the verge of caving to Trump in another “Schumer Surrender.”

That means your Democratic senators need to hear from you right now.

No one answering the calls for @cantwell.senate.gov or @murray.senate.gov. I hope neither of my senators will help sell us all out by joining up with @cortezmasto.senate.gov's Cave Caucus. It is unacceptable to reopen government based on the promises of liars and crooks.

Canadian multimillionaire and Shark Tank guy Kevin O'Leary went on TV to say he's upset Zohran won't talk to him: "I and others who invest in real estate have tried to get a meeting to figure out what's rhetoric and what's policy. So far for me it's been crickets."

HAHAHAHAHA
"In the weeks before Andrew Cuomo’s mayoral dream went up in smoke on election night, a handful of independent spending groups backed by New York City’s oligarchy spent more than $55 million supporting the ex-governor or attacking his ultimately victorious rival, Assemblymember Zohran Mamdani."
Cuomo Backers Burned $65 Per Vote, Including $13.3 Million From Bloomberg
A blizzard of outside spending on ads, including a spot that linked Zohran Mamdani to 9/11, failed to move voters and may have even backfired.

Just asking for one year extension on ACA after Democrats pulled of a massive in this past Tuesday is pathetic.

Once again @schumer.senate.gov who didn't endorse Mamdani like a coward - is failing to read the moment.
Schumer: "After so many failed voters, it's clear we need to try something different"

"Thune just needs to add a clean, one-year extension" of the expiring ACA tax credits, then have a negotiation on changes to the credits

Republicans have repeatedly rejected adding subsidies to funding bill

Epic victory!
When the horses were in the starting gate, all the way back in February, Zohran Mamdani was polling at 1% and didn’t even rate a mention in the pollster’s write up. What a remarkable race he ran.
