I know Ds can’t do everything we want, but this is an excellent idea.

They shouldn’t be on the Nazi CSAM site.

It would be a big story if say ALL Democratic members of Congress announced they were leaving X over all the child porn.

When I say "don't use Polymarket" I say this as somebody who has paid taxes on gambling winnings the majority of years in his adult life & filed as a professional gambler in several years. And who is looking for a new betting option now that the Big Beautiful Bill made gambling in the US impossible.
Inside trader betting guy is having a bad day.

Also, don't use Polymarket.

(By the way, at one point in time at least, Polymarket was assembling it's own in-house teams to take positions on their markets. Which would be wildly problematic if they also grade the ambiguous markets.)

I'm willing to entertain the possibility that there's room in the tent. There might be. But it's right at the edge of the tent. And you don't get to start a Tent Owners Association when you've been in the tent for 2 days.
Not a big surprise that Conway is running for office. That seemed like a possibility all along. He'll have to pick a race very carefully where the Republicans there will accept or appreciate his never-Trumpism.

Wait. What? He's running as a Democrat?

Well, my premiums went way up. And copays too. And med costs. But I'm probably on an optimized med regimen. And I've got a sort of privilege that lots of chronically ill folks don't. Because I was a physician, I get more space to actively participate in med decisions. So we got there faster...

American liberals, welcome to being southern liberals.
This sucks but I think non-Americans being justifiably angry at Americans for what the American government is doing and threatening to do, and Americans experiencing that anger and frustration personally in ways that are unpleasant, is probably an important part of any path back to stability

I seem to be pretty cranky. In lieu of trying to dunk on somebody, I'm just going to repost this story about driving my lawnmower to a medical appointment.
Had a medical appt. Car isn't working. Live in the middle of nowhere. Was months in waiting for this appt and they have a draconian cancellation and lateness policy.

Checked out the rideshare possibilities. If you schedule ahead of time, the prices went way up. And they weren't cheap to start...

Maybe BSky could add a feature where you have a "pending block". The block doesn't execute until 20 seconds after they have read your "go fuck yourself" reply to them.

That might not be quite in line with previous site philosophy, but times they are a changin'.

First CES panel. Intuit CMO Thomas Ranese is proud of his company's integration with OpenAI, which involves giving AI read/write access to tax data. Since prompt injection attacks are unavoidable, I asked him who will be liable when customer data is exposed: Intuit, OpenAI, etc?

He had no idea.

Make them produce a majority every day, every hour, for every thing.
Rep. Doug LaMalfa, who died this morning, was one of 147 Republicans who voted to overturn the 2020 election.

It was defining moment of his political career—one that must not be forgotten on the anniversary of January 6.
