If I ended up in a Pluribus scenario I too would reject becoming part of the unified consciousness but I would absolutely be driving all kinds of cool cars like a goddamn lunatic

There are very few people in the world who would play Getting Continually Kicked In The Face And Never Getting Any Respite Simulator 2K26, and all twelve of them already bought the 2K25 edition.
UO shipped with a very laissez-faire attitude towards griefers, and when they decided this was a bad idea and changed policies (as well as creating a ‘safe world’) they doubled their customer population.

Bach, you have to stop. Your clavier is too well-tempered. Your concertos too Brandenburg. They’ll kill you

It was nice of Mark Carney to remind everyone who doesn’t dig stuff out of the ground or pull liquid out of the ground that they’re lucky he likes the concept of homebuilding.

The Fringe movement is one of the greatest things I’ve ever been part of.

The Minneapolis improv and theatre community is one of the greatest things I’ve ever been adjacent to, and felt welcomed by.

Put these together and you have great people making great art.
I'm asking you to please take a minute and support this organization that means a lot to me

Thanks to autoplay, I had about eight minutes where I was pretty amazed that they got Jennifer Aniston to do a guest spot on a flashback episode of Pluribus.

For those who are trying to keep up with British politics, here's a simple mnemonic:

If the Polanski be Zack, he's got your back
If the Polanski be Roman, don't leave your drink unattended

If the only people who can afford to run for office are the ones who don't need the salary, you don't get to be surprised when your politicians are all out-of-touch millionaires.
ryan is right. people HATE hearing this. but it is just a matter of simple incentives. if you want a more representative legislature — and if you want a legislature more resistant to corruption — then you need to jack up the salaries. serving as mayor of NYC should net you a cool 500K *at least*
people hate hearing this but it's 100% true, creating a huge pay gap between political leaders, their staffs, and other elites is a recipe for corruption. of course the flip side of that is taxes on the rich should be jacked way the hell up

Someone handed Zohran a copy of "The Manual: How to Be Number One the Easy Way".
I support everyone giving vast sums of money to Andrew Cuomo. It’s the “lighting a million quid on fire” art piece but this time performed by the worst people in the world.

Aaaand some guy on CNN just threw out the inevitable "Despite So-Called 'Most Votes', 'Election Victories', 'Sweeping The Board', Tonight Is An Incredible Failure For Democrats" take.

I'd like to apologize to the city for my powerful bandwagon curse. I became a Lewis Hamilton fan right as his career went to hell, said screw it I'm a Verstappen guy now and that went great.

And then I looked at the Jays for ten minutes, enough for the damage to be done.

Go Leafs?

I remember listening to a podcast that said this was a thing people only do in Los Angeles, which was news to me because I was in a car southbound on the 401 at the time.
When I left LA, everybody looked at me funny when I mentioned freeways with The in front of it. That's just how you tell somebody to take the 110 from San Pedro to the 101.

You weirdos. The The The!

"We Built This City" was the #14 song of 1985.
As someone who grew up in the ‘80s, I’m annoyed by nostalgia for that era because, sure, there were some cool highlights. But the overall popular culture was not those things and it was mostly unpleasant garbage that we’ve just forgotten about or buried.

Simpsons? Like the defunct Canadian retailer?
Isn’t MALK literally a Simpsons joke?

(Too bad nobody will tell me, since 1. it’s the internet and nobody likes to answer questions like this, and 2. there is, in particular, VERY little Simpsons knowledge on the internet)

Reposting this now because I realized there’s something positive in it:

The Tories are currently polling at around 40%. This has Trump approval at 13%.

Even if every single one of those approvals come from Conservatives, a majority of Conservative supporters still disapprove of Trump.
Impression Of The Trump Administration:

Negative: 71%
Positive: 13%
