10 years ago, cowards dismissed the Access Hollywood tape and Trump’s admission of habitual sexual assault as just “locker room” talk.

Now with the Epstein affair, some argue that sex with a teen isn’t a crime.

When you hear that, ask if it’s just “junior high school girls’ locker room talk.”

Remember the recent middle-of-the-night apartment building raid where children were dragged outside naked & zip-tied in the street while black & Latino residents were _sorted by race_ and piled into separate vans while their apartments were ransacked & robbed? That raid? So it resulted in 0 arrests.

I have always absolutely despised Lawrence Summers. And now I learn that he is 100 times more despicable than I believed him to be. Truly an elite-level piece of shit. Burn in hell, Larry.
The emails have Summers reporting to Epstein about his attempts to date a Harvard economics student & to hit on her during a seminar she was giving.

Imagine him giving this speech to one of his own granddaughters, instead of Chris Cuomo.
Dershowitz: The predecessor on your show described Epstein as a convicted pedophile. He pleaded guilty to one count of having sex for money with a 17-year-and-10-month-old person. That’s not a pedophile.

Actually, the GOP spent the entire election cycle obsessing over identity, demonizing anyone who had an unacceptable identity. The Dems spent the whole cycle saying “Trump sucks. I don’t stand for anything. But we aren’t Trump.”

Lesson: stand for something. Anything.
Speaking at a Texas Tribune Festival on Friday, former U.S. Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg criticized the Democratic Party for failing to reach everyday Americans, arguing that it “got sucked in” to a conversation about identity. #TribFest25
Pete Buttigieg critiques Democrats for focus on identity
The former U.S. transportation secretary said the Democratic Party should focus more on issues gripping the country, such as health care and housing affordability.

Things to know about Epstein hugger Ken Starr: prosecuted Bill Clinton for lying about consensual (if inappropriate) sex, got fired from Baylor University for doing nothing about an on-campus rape epidemic.
Republican legal icon and Clinton scourge Ken Starr signs off a touching note to Jeffrey Epstein with "hugs." Amazing.

Yup. This is why I’ve been making monthly donations to GBFB for years. It has the scale to make its money go further, and it ships food out to 400 local food pantries, including the one in my town.

This. Stop sharing screen shots of fascist grok drivel. What’s the point? Everyone knows it is trash. Especially screenshots of a Krassenstein interacting with it. That’s about as low as you can go.
Extremists depend on your outrage to spread their memes far and wide. Whether it's Musk or Musk's chatbot, the same lesson applies.

Stop posting grok conversation screenshots unless you have the depth and you plan to take time to place it in a context beyond "omg look what the nazi chatbot said"
Let's talk about how to report on right-wingers without amplifying their hateful rhetoric. Far-right extremists count on YOU to spread their messages for them. Here's a thread of resources.

The fact that this, and every other Trump pardonee who has subsequently broken the law, has not ended Trump's political career, that it barely even registers on the national discourse, underlines just how far we are from a functioning democracy that values accountability.
A man pardoned by Donald Trump for his role in January 6th - he assaulted Capitol Police officers with bear spray & a metal whip - has avoided prison for child sex crimes because of the president’s sweeping pardon, despite pleading guilty to soliciting what he believed was a 15-year-old girl for sex

A little bit of history worth knowing. If it’s history, they are trying to wipe it out, to make room for the absurd tales of eternal innocence that bring fascism and bloodshed closer.
