While the pasty incels who work the federal agencies continue to churn out feeble, bloodless AI pastiches of Axis propaganda, here’s how a living breathing artist powerfully invokes design history. This is by illustrator Emily K in South Philly, a free poster-sized download on her website: →

What are you as a lobbying organization going to do to control police gun violence? I’ve never seen a gun ban that didn’t exempt police. Federal law allows cops to carry concealed guns in every state with no permit, even when they are off duty.
A man was shot in the leg and wounded by an ICE agent last night in Minneapolis. This isn’t an isolated incident—it’s part of a dangerous pattern of gun violence and armed intimidation by federal agents that has wreaked havoc in communities across the country.

No, Apple keyboard, I was not trying to complain about “fun control”.

Please, for the love of whatever you believe in, don't forget that the world is good and those who seek to do ill will always feel the weight of that casting them back. It doesn't mean every day will feel idyllic, but that hate and despair can never permanently obscure the light of being.

if you try to focus on Trump’s authoritarianism, Schumer will deflect and say people want us to focus on affordability. but when Zohran Mamdani made affordability the heart of his campaign Schumer refused to endorse him because they disagree about Israel. it’s all mealy mouthed bullshit.

Gestapo was used specifically to target dissent, with racial purity secondary.

Slave catchers were used to enforce racial hierarchy, with targeting dissent secondary m.

Far more accurate to compare it to slave catchers.
I see people talk about ICE by calling them the Gestapo, and while its not hard to see the comparison; they really aught to be compared to something homegrown. Because in truth, the closest thing we can compare ICE to is to federal slave catchers. The operation is the same.

I’m going to be honest, the gestapo versus slave catchers debate is a real por qué no los dos thing for me.

Independence Day is usually a bittersweet holiday for me at best. But if we make it to July 4th this year I shall loudly sing the Battle Hymn of the Republic and salute the fine people physically placing themselves in the path of the modern day slave catchers.
In our 250th year, the Minneapolitans verbally harassing and chucking stuff at armed government agents sent into their city to enforce the will of a tyrannical government are the ones embodying the rightful spirit of America.

@angiecraigmn.bsky.social was the ONLY Minnesota Democrat to vote for the Laken Riley Act. The only one to vote to praise ICE.

Even today, with ICE in our streets, she stands by her pro-Trump votes.

We should abandon virtually all immigration enforcement. Make it very easy to come live and work here.
Let’s talk about abolishing ICE.

Very few people who say “abolish ICE” mean “abandon all immigration enforcement.” Rather, they mean “the structure of immigration enforcement is irretrievably broken and needs to be reorganized, just like we did 23 years ago when we created ICE.”

The people of MN give me far more hope than the largely feckless “opposition” leaders of our country or the deeply compromised and ineffectual media both-sidesing white nationalist totalitarianism.

Big Business put Hitler in power to prevent a left wing coalition coming to power in Germany and I guarantee you they are more afraid of what the people chasing ICE would do if they were in power than they are about what ICE is doing right now.
No disrespect to RT Rybak (actually, I lie, a lot of disrespect on this note), business leaders don't give a goddamn fuck about what's happening to people in Minneapolis, as long as it doesn't permanently affect their bottom line.

Wake up, you naive little man. www.mprnews.org/story/2026/0...
