In 2025, our volunteers and survivors showed up in hearing rooms, met with lawmakers, and mobilized thousands of supporters to defeat bills that would have forced loaded guns into employee parking lots, blocked states from enforcing federal gun laws, and prohibited future Extreme Risk laws. 🧵

Five years ago, a police officer shot & killed Andre Hill while he was leaving a friend’s house. Andre was a beloved brother, father, and grandfather. He was an avid basketball player and talented cook. He was a supporter of the Black Lives Matter movement, wearing a BLM shirt when he was murdered.

The Trump Administration rolled back Biden-era efforts to hold gun dealers accountable and reassigned roughly 80% of ATF agents to carry out immigration operations.

Despite this, states still have many tools at their disposal to reduce gun trafficking and keep communities safe.
