21-year-old Kaden Rummler was shot in the face at close range with a projectile by a federal agent during a peaceful protest last week in Santa Ana, California. Kaden, a college student, is now permanently blind in his left eye.

A 7-year-old-boy was unintentionally shot and critically wounded by a 9-year-old child this weekend inside a home in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Authorities said the two children were playing with an unsecured gun when it fired.

Tragedies like these are preventable with secure gun storage.
