i built an ad-free listener-supported internet radio station. we play new music, forgotten classics, indie, alternative and some deeply weird stuff.

i write the software that runs it (worbler.bsky.social) and from time to time get to be one of the many real-live-human DJs making shows: uncertain.fm

@gamesam.bsky.social this game is excellent! thank you for making it

i've already done a couple laps through pp1 and i looked through recents and didn't see an answer -- is pp2 dropping anytime soon?

ok. that's all the anger i'm willing to reflect back into the world this morning.

younger people, please see this and know that it is always like this, or worse. the moments that feel otherwise are few, far between, and too often calculated to release pressure in order to maintain the status quo

agreeing to make a terrible deal while your main opponent is quite literally being boo'd on live tv by an entire stadium of people is the kind of political instinct you'd normally only find in a 3 week old dead goldfish

It is very weird seeing my friends and family slowly start to realize we're not overreacting.
Read every word & share with everyone you know. This is real life here in Chicago. Americans need to know this grotesque reality & stand with us.
Kyle Kingsbury is not a journalist. He is not an op-ed writer.

He is a computer safety researcher.

And he has written one of the most compelling, comprehensive accounts of the ongoing hell in Chicago that you could possibly imagine.

In under 1600 words.

Relating to Galactus at 42: I am from an unrecognizable previous millennium, hungry all the time, everything hurts and I live with a tiny person who won’t do what I ask.

Look, what if we don't stop at soft secession. What if we don't stop at secession secession. What if — and hear me out here — we just become an agglomeration of city states depending on the Mayor as our conduit to the Gods via yearly sacrifice at a municipal ziggurat?

Layoffs are reaching their highest levels since the pandemic, but America's corporate elite have never been doing better.

Is it any wonder why so many think the system is rigged?

I LEARNED THE ANSWER TO THIS

Chris's Steakhouse was a New Orleans landmark

Chris Matulich periodically got bored, sold it, waited for the new owner to fail, and bought it back cheap

The sale conditions: Can't move it, can't change the name

He did this six times

Then he sold it to Ruth Fertel
what did ruth mean when she said her steakhouse was "chris"
