Today in diversity: Mary Sherman Morgan, who invented the liquid fuel that powered the rocket that boosted the first U.S. satellite in 1957, was born this day 1921. It probably goes without saying that she overcame some things, but I looked it up, and she did, in fact, overcome a lot of things.
