This whole Epstein File episode has really brought home how much we’ve lost our empathy on a massive scale. There is actual evidence both documented and verified by survivors of horrific crimes. Committed by people at the highest levels. Yet not one of them has been punished.

Mango Robbie and I had to come get an “ussie” with the newest celebrity of Nashville infrastructure. It’s real, folks.

Cars are such a waste of space.
It's been three weeks since the storm. Shovel out these cars, tow them, and turn the space into bike parking, public seating, on-street garbage containerization, bioswales... anything other than car storage would serve more people than this.

It is estimated that 762,000 people have *already died* as a result of Elon Musk and Russell Vought’s obscene murder of USAID, including more than 500,000 children.

Vought is a mass murderer.

Good morning. The President of the United States was in the middle of the most serious child sex trafficking ring of the last quarter century.

He is referenced not a dozen times in the case files. Not 100 times. Not 1,000 times. He’s referenced 38,000 times.

You can just say "yes, he is a racist" or "yes, obviously he is a racist" or "are you fucking kidding me, what kind of stupid question is that in 2026?"

I don't know how a person of faith can watch the president's "speech" at the National Prayer Breakfast and come away with an ounce of respect for this nasty madman.

What an abomination to the witness of the Church. 😢
Trump at the National Prayer Breakfast: "I don't know how a person of faith can vote for a Democrat. I really don't. *crowd groans* I know we have some here today. I don't know why they're here, because they certainly don't give us their vote ... they cheat."

This is insane. Under absolutely no circumstances should a prof ever discuss the physical appearance of a student in a rec letter! I can’t believe I even have to say that!
Yale prof David Gelernter defends his letter urging Epstein to hire "v small goodlooking blonde" student by saying that he was "keep[ing] the potential boss's habits in mind."

This creep shouldn't be allowed anywhere near students.

The headline should be, "DHS to keep 2,000 immigration officers in Minnesota."

Instead, it seems the entirety of the traditional media went with, "DHS to withdraw 700 immigration officers from Minnesota."

This presser worked like a charm.
Homan in Minneapolis: "Effective immediately, we will draw down 700 people effective today."

this is exactly right. "popularism" in practice amounts to an abdication of political leadership!
This part of our response essay is where I'm at. Boiling down all of politics to electoralism has been absolutely terrible for resisting rising authoritarianism.

This captured the dignity and bravery I witness in Portlanders every day. Started tearing up reading it. From kids to elderly people, everyone showed bravery and a discipline to look out for their neighbors that day.

I love the people of this city so much.
ICE tear gassed a bunch of children on Saturday. This was a massive escalation of force. They were shooting tear gas at the back of the crowd, it took these unmasked people maybe 3-5 minutes in the cloud of tear gas to escape in without trampling. www.theverge.com/policy/87278...

Mike Johnson, blatantly lying.
Q: You're a constitutional lawyer. Can you detail the 4th Amendment protections someone has if ICE approaches their home w/an administrative warrant?

MIKE JOHNSON: When ICE goes to execute a warrant, it's issued by an immigration judge, & that is a sufficient legal authority to go apprehend someone

Again, this is FALSE. Administrative warrants are NOT signed by an immigration judge (or any judge at all). They are generated and signed by ICE officers themselves with no external oversight whatsoever.

Here is a blank sample warrant. Note who signs off on it; an "immigration officer."

A multimillionaire thinks that paying down the national debt is so important that all the poors should get into the workforce earlier, work in it harder, and stay in it later to help pay it off.

It's the only possible way to do it!
Dr Oz: "If we could get the average American to start working a year earlier, right out of high school, or a year later -- not retire -- or work better during their lifetime because they're healthy, it would generate about $3 trillion to the US economy. That would more than remove the debt."
