Crossfire is the next chapter of Odo's infatuation with Kira, this time seeing Kira falling for yet another planetary leader of Bajor. Instead of a major religious bishop, it's the First Minister, who happens to be Kira's old cell leader when she was a terrorist. Odo handles this poorly, and that's…

Homefront is the next big Dominion conflict story, this time taking the fight back to Earth itself. Sisko returns home to take over security for Starfleet when it becomes clear that Changelings are on the planet engaging in acts of war. We get to meet Sisko's father, played by the radio version of…

Rogers testifying before Congress in support of PBS funding is perhaps one of the most well known things ever recorded on camera. Perhaps McCain feels that wasn't "political" because then she'd have to address how her asshole dad opposed it for more than 30 years

As someone who spent the last 15 years working with aging brains & dementia, I can't stop thinking about this. It is gerontocracy: leaders who are substantially older than most of the adult population. When did we accept this? The new generations can't show up because the old generations never left.

Made a batch of drop biscuits for the family this morning, then we cracked open this BEAR Jam from a local Mennonite grocery store. The BEAR stands for “Blackberry Elderberry Apple Raspberry.” Good stuff.

I’ve been actively trying to avoid ableist language, which means I’ve largely eliminated the use of the word “crazy” from my parlance. I’ve also been reading Alice in Wonderland to my kid, and it’s been difficult to explain what “mad” means in the context of the Mad Hatter and the Mad Tea Party.

My favorite part of this is how no one bothered to check a calendar. 17 January 2021 was a Sunday, not a Thursday.
Jan 17th 2021 - #JohnnyMnemonic (Keanu Reeves) wakes to find the price to remove his data storage implant has increased. He's told "One more run" should cover the extra for the procedure.

I don’t want AI in any part of my life, but I feel like one of the places in my that I already felt the most confident to do something correctly, quickly, and effectively was in ordering a pizza.
at last we will be free from the backbreaking drudgery of ordering pizza from a menu and even counting how many people the pizza is for www.theverge.com/tech/863365/...

Every novelization printed or reprinted with the McCoy logo has a fantastic cover art and design. Peak Doctor Who merch here.
On This Day in 1991, 'The Brain of Morbius' was reissued in paperback as a 'Blue Spine Reprint', adorned with the previously released VHS cover artwork by Alister Pearson.

Games Workshop defying all British Logic by steadfastly remaining a real, actual thing as opposed to charging with the rest of the country in the realm of the purely theoretical.
The Games Workshop results are interesting (and very honest) on AI and tariffs.
AI: not that exciting. Tariffs: much more manageable than expected.

This is fantastic sir but is there any way we could work some discounts into this? Scan 5 ICE QR codes and get a free footlong at Subway or something like that? I think it would really take this idea to another level.
I am introducing the Quick Recognition (QR) Act, which requires ICE and CBP officers to wear uniforms featuring QR codes. When scanned, the code would generate a digital ID displaying the officer’s name, badge number, and law enforcement agency.

ICE should be unmasked both physically and digitally.
