I find it moving that David Lynch loved IT'S A WONDERFUL LIFE so much he couldn't talk about it without crying. His sincere belief in the redemptive possibilities contained in that film and what it said about people seems to me like a key element of understanding his own work.

Found a @barnesandnoble.com card a student gave me. Got Scriptnotes, just out by @johnaugust.bsky.social & @clmazin.bsky.social. Had .38 left to pay so I bought a book for @childrensphila.bsky.social They do amazing work & I needed a win today. Hope it helps kids escape reality if only for a while.

We had to do Earth Angel followed by Johnny B.Goode at the reception.
And we did. And since it was a Film-themed affair, it went over really well.
