Every removed book is a reader who won't see themselves reflected & narrows the world a little more. FL students deserve libraries full of possibility, not fear.

I do not care if the people ICE has killed were good or bad. That doesn't matter.
What matters is that those people had a right to trial by jury. By being on American soil they had rights. ICE violated those rights, executed them, and did it to terrorize people in the name of a dictator.

This has been really noticeable in California for a while too.
This is one of the things that I find is most shocking to people outside Minnesota who don’t realize it yet—the scale at which everyone who isn’t white has been forced into a spectrum of hiding.

I spent the last year writing a book about the ridiculous demands of what it means to be masculine. But a guy who takes care of people who served our country, asks a woman “are you ok?” When she is in distress and looks out for his vulnerable neighbors seems like a pretty good role model for a man.
