I’m thinking the Dems need to run on nothing less than remaking American democracy.
End Citizens United, totally reform the corrupt and broken SCOTUS, a new voting rights act, ban gerrymandering everywhere.

Truth telling = getting fired under this Administration. We used to be a country that had safeguards in place for this kind of behavior.

Focusing on real impacts is greater than ambitious phrases “threat to democracy, fascism etc.) that the average voter doesn’t understand. Those are great messages for your informed base but got to hit the average voter with tangible stuff that impacts them on a daily basis. Make it real.
100% correct. The Dem ads about Trump weren't just "orange man bad." They were: I'm focused on lowering costs while my GOP opponent is serving Trump, who is raising costs with tariffs, canceling infrastructure, etc.
The bizarre media narrative that Dems must choose between anti-Trump and affordability politics reflects a broad reluctance to accept that Trump is really unpopular. The way forward is a fusion of the two. They are often one and the same. 8/

I think one of the reasons you hear so much visceral anger coming from Dems about politics these days is bc for years now we’ve been expected to respond with dignity and respect (which we do) when political violence touches the GOP. But when it touches us - we get the Mike Lee’s of the world.

Having now watched the footage and interview two of the members who were there, the amount of armed, masked federal agents surrounding three members of Congress and a mayor outside the ICE facility was totally unnecessary; the only possible reason for it was intentional escalation and intimidation.
