🚨 UK Trade and Business Commission's new report:

"Ministers could allow more than 40,000 EU citizens into Britain as part of a youth mobility scheme without increasing net migration, research suggests, before talks in Brussels on Starmer’s EU reset."

UK could allow in 40,000 EU citizens under youth mobility scheme
Net migration would be unaffected, however, according to a study that shows more young Britons left the UK as part of existing schemes than came the other way

An absolutely shocking headline and not what I expected from a Labour government.

Oh we can't talk about that he's not here to defend himself!

Brilliant piece by @labourlewis.bsky.social on why the Nigel Farage racism allegations matter.

If we end up rewarding a politics based on the instincts of a racist schoolyard bully, we should't be surprised at what follows bylinetimes.com/2025/12/10/n...

Stunning interview with Europe security expert, formerly at the State Dept and NATO, Dr Terra.

Well, that’s being the forever obedient vassal state of an empire for you: it’s not just for fun times like joining in the Emperor’s aggressive wars and issuing belligerent threats from behind his back. You also have to slap on a grin and look happy while you’re getting screwed by him.

To be honest, I never ever remember anyone making jokes about the holocaust in the 70s.

I DO remember the police guarding hundreds of NF members doing a Nazi salute on the roof of a pub opposite the Rock Against Racism concert in Victoria Park

They weren’t joking

Real Nazis are still around
I remember the kids who made "jokey" Hitler salutes in school. They were utter cunts in every other aspect of their personalities, too.

It's not an excuse, it's a confession.
You know I actually find it really intriguing that a bunch of British upper class people are coming out of the closet to admit that as children they made "jokey" Hitler salutes, because I was once (if in another country) the child on the receiving end of that kind of "jokey" antisemitism.

Beavers in Norfolk, after 400 years - and White Storks in London after 600 - great week for wildlife. But we should be under no illusions, behind this there’s a massive decline in species and populations. And it’s caused by one thing - the food we choose to eat.

Labour as a government is fundamentally racist and xenophobic. Yes, you absolutely can say that a Reform or Conservative government would be worse for people, but you're still arguing over which flavour of racism you are prepared to swallow for a quiet life. 1/7
