The last couple of weeks have really affirmed that video can’t work if authorities have decided they’re not bound by anything, least of all reality. Rodney King and Latasha Harlins really schooled me on this a long time ago but my problem is I kept believing people wouldn’t just lie like this.

It's weird if the same car drives past my block five times in an hour, right? It's not a through street, it's not like there's a reason. And they keep leaving in different routes. And earlier a cop stopped at my neighbor's house and left when he saw me watching. All of that together is weird, right?

Worth noting that Minnesota allows citizens to carry a handgun with a permit, and does not require that the handgun be concealed.
The federal government’s official story—which is of course likely a lie—is that DHS killed a guy for simply having a gun.
This is the gun rights lobby’s nightmare scenario, and they likely won’t utter a mumbling word of opposition.

It is important they preserved the scene, but also it is absolutely insane the ICE is telling people to leave murder scenes. This is a completely lawless paramilitary that we're about to give tens of billions more in funding to.
