ironically what makes star wars stuff best is when it is 'something else, but also star wars'
e.g. Andor, a British political thriller but also Star Wars
the Mandalorian, an episode-of-the-week Western but also Star Wars (when it was good)

come fucking on: "The report states that Finley did not brake before the collision. Officers did not ask whether he was using his phone. The report also does not mention two signs positioned before the junction with the multi-use path instructing drivers to yield to pedestrians in the crosswalk."
#Boulder police have closed their investigation into the August crash that killed 88-year-old cyclist Daniel Bench, concluding the driver was not at fault. Advocates say the case highlights how vulnerable cyclists remain on city streets. boulderreportinglab.org/2025/10/30/b...

took the citibike into the office.... ebike is nice, way snappier than the ones in boulder. navigating pedestrians jaywalking / ebikes / potholes & construction / cars turning is definitely a full brain exercise lol, but i made it safely. lotta parking protected bike lanes!!
in new york and it's great, walking and taking the train everywhere. i wanna ride a citibike.

Ban Right Turn on Red
When turning right, "attention is focused on oncoming traffic from their left — not on people walking across the street or waiting in the bike lane on their right. With their attention elsewhere, drivers are more likely to turn into people outside of cars who have the pedestrian signal to cross.”

The goal of good infrastructure is freedom from fear. At 6 months pregnant, my wife can ride because this physically separated path eliminates the threat of motorists.
This is what women in advocacy fight for, not just paint, but genuinely safe, forgiving spaces that enable true mobility choice.

Why tf does North America allow right turns on red? Was this ever a good idea? So proud of @ardenenglish.bsky.social for his first collaboration with the CBC!
