lol after 6 unanswered emails he finally figured it out
once as a prank we gave a coworker who was gone on vacation a cubicle (we have an open office floorplan, so no walls normally).
we took em from a couch area (hilariously the relaxing couch area gets walls but not work?) & surrounded his desk, put up photos of us, his coworkers, and everything lol.

just had a bonafide sitcom experience where the facilities crew entirely dismantled my cubicle while i was on a teams meeting, it was there when i started the meeting and gone by the time the meeting was over

The way I look at this is whether or not the hype winds up bearing out—or even a fraction of it—we need to prepare for a long future in which bosses + management are incentivized at every level to proceed as if it's true; cutting labor costs, automating tasks, killing jobs.
I understand why people are exhausted by AI hype, and why those of us squarely in the corner of "human dignity uber alles" see AI doomerism as self-serving hype, but I *really* think people on the left broadly need to start thinking seriously about the possibiltiy of the hype being...true.

seconding this - i was lazy about switching for years with how convenient turbotax was.... and it was basically as easy with free tax usa. don't give your money to turbotax!!!
Just a PSA for people, FreeTaxUSA is an excellent tool for filing taxes. Do not, I repeat, do not give your money to TurboTax. They lobby congress to keep tax filings difficult and inflate their prices to make it more expensive.
