THIS THIS THIS

It is part of why I'm furious about the introduction of gen AI performance reviews, because HR is touting it as a way to summarize all the input. IT'S YOUR FUCKING JOB AS MY SUPERVISOR TO DO THAT.
I also think GenAI summaries of conversations and personal emails are fucking wack and disrespectful

Either you have time to genuinely engage with what someone said or you don’t

Yeah, like, even if he weren't all over these emails I *still* wouldn't want him involved in this. He sucks.
Democratic elites don’t understand why they lost and want to keep losing.

He is a misogynistic creep who hates working people. A Democratic Party that cares about its constituencies would not be elevating Summers.
NEW: Before the recent Epstein disclosures, Larry Summers was poised to lead the economic policy plank for the Democrats' "Project 2029" effort at the Center for American Progress. He signed off on a housing policy paper CAP was prepping for next week.

There is an Erewhon across from my dentist, so after an appointment I went to get one of these smoothies. Her name wasn't on them and that was 2 years ago? I didn't even anything resembling this on the menu, got way too overwhelmed, and just walked out.

This! Here's a slide pulled from my class lecture notes this semester. Comets have two clear tails - one from dust and one from ions. They point in different directions because one feels the solar wind while the other feels radiation pressure.

Fuck the polygraph and fuck this. If I have to do it, the the Deputy Director of the FBI sure as shit should have to do it.
The FBI has recently used polygraph tests to ask senior employees if they have said anything negative about FBI Director Kash Patel or had spoken to the media.

Separately, Patel granted waivers to Deputy Director Dan Bongino and two other staffers, exempting them from passing polygraph exams.

As the FBI’s deputy director, Bongino receives some of the country’s most sensitive secrets, including the President’s Daily Brief. His ascent to that position without passing a standard bureau backgr...

While camera-based speed and red light enforcement are great and speed governors will help stop the worst repeat offenders, what we really need is for the police to actually enforce basic traffic laws like “you have to actually stop at stop signs and red lights” and “your car needs license plates.”

you could not script a more perfect "who are white Republican women in a nutshell?" moment than Megyn Kelly - quite famously herself a victim of an older and more powerful man's sexual misconduct - doing the "TECHNICALLY he wasn't a 'pedophile' per se" routine with a perfectly straight face

One of the things that's very difficult to really take to heart about MAGA conservatives is that you can't get them on hypocrisy about their children because they really don't give a fuck about their kids
Everyone who posts this should note that Megyn Kelly has a 14-year-old daughter. Do not let her off the hook on this.
This was always where this was headed.

something I've been thinking about if/when we retake power is we're really going to need to shock & awe the elites with accountability. hit em hard and fast. gotta break the entire system and don't give it time to regroup.
Important to understand the Epstein stuff and the fascism and the corruption are, in a lot of ways, really all the same story from different angles: powerful men who can and do abuse vulnerable people around them because they can, and because systems of elite accountability catastrophically failed

Say #NoContractNoCoffee with us: DON'T BUY STARBUCKS for the duration of our open-ended ULP strike! $SBUX

On the one hand, this little shit is a real piece of work. On the other hand, the real scandal is not so much that Teenage Douchbags like this exist (they always have) but that we have set up a quasi-military governmental apparatus ready to take orders from them

The first time I saw this I did not clock that this woman is an English professor. Jesus.
Can I just say, besides my deep anger at the normalization of pedophilia, I am also deeply disturbed that a Harvard English Lit professor would so deeply misunderstand the point of Lolita. It was very much anti-pedophilia and the narrator is not one you are supposed to sympathize with.
