As it's the first day of Advent I thought I'd start #MyPhotoAdvent2025, a photo a day of my favourite captures of 2025... with an explanation in Alt Text of my reason for choosing it.

I chose this because it's the first Weasel (Mustela nivalis) I have ever captured. Taken early January 2025, through our patio doors early in the morning, it was less that 3m (10ft) from where I was standing ! it ran off virtually immediately after I took this. It still visits but I've yet to get more shots of it.

Good morning. Running low on photos, too cold to spend much time in the mountains. This was during Christmas break. I had to disappear for a few hours of calm, so I hiked and sat with the trees. No better place to be.

We see good numbers of Coal Tits here; smart little birds that love to find and hide their food! Yesterday I noticed the lovely little fella on the right who had unusual head feathers... just thought it was interesting! 🤔 🪶 📷 🌿
